WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades can give you boosts in specific statistics. Each upgrade boosts the level of an item by 3. A random substat is also increased with each upgrade.

The more modernized gear generally has a more value in trade, unless it has inherently low requirements (like the FB sorc's shield) or has a high stat variation (like Eth titan weapons). Upgrades are less useful for those with lower requirements due to the requirement to roll an exact version.

Recycle Points

The item upgrader enables players to upgrade their gear to a higher level by supplying the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades can be made on any kind of weapon or armor. They are also available on random treasure lists. This is particularly applicable to items like trinkets and rings that take up several slots. The discount on the account is only applicable when all the slots on the character are filled with high-quality equipment.
