Guild Wars 2 Item Upgrade

Best item upgrader upgrade, commonly referred to as "upping," improves an item's stats. Each upgrade increment increases the stat linearly.

Players can recycle up to six items at a time to gain a level gauge for each of the upgraded components. The cost of recycling items scales depending on their rarity and level.

Upgrade components

In Guild Wars 2, an upgrade of an item can be a method to boost the stats of your weapon and armor. This can be achieved through a variety of methods, including by using upgrade components or by increasing the rarity of an item or its mark level. In addition there are many items that can be reforged, which could increase their stats.

Upgradeable items can be found throughout the game, both within the world and as rewards for missions. Players can also craft them. The primary method to upgrade equipment is through the use of upgrade components which are the items that can be slotted into equipment. Most equipment has slots to upgrade, and many require a certain level of upgrade. Some upgrade components offer specific bonuses, while others offer a general bonus.

There are many types of upgrade elements available in the game. These include universal upgrades, inscriptions and jewels. Universal upgrades, such as gemstones and enchantments, can be put in any equipment type and offer less bonuses than those that are equipment-type specific to the type of equipment. Glyphs can only be placed in gathering tools, and provide numerous benefits, from increasing the speed of the item's collection to providing extra crafting materials.

Choose the item from your inventory, then open the Upgrade window. The window will show a preview on the right side of the screen showing what the expected stats will be after the upgrade, along with any necessary components or materials. The Upgrade button at the bottom will show blocked if you don't have enough of either.

The upper-right corner displays the amount of upgrade components needed for a particular item. The cost of an upgrade increases with the level of the upgrade and its rarity, but it can be reduced using a variety of methods, including purchasing upgrades from a vendor or trading them with other players.

Most weapons can be upgraded using a prefix upgrade for example, an insignia or rune, and a lot of them can be upgraded with suffix upgrades. These upgrades change the name of the item, adding an adjective, for example "Radiant" or "Minor Vigor.' The exceptions are the non-inscribable wands, the shields and foci from Prophecies and Factions campaigns, which are not upgradeable with any kinds of mods in any way.

Glyphs

Glyphs can be a powerful tool to communicate visual information. They animate to capture the attention of the viewers and trigger curiosity in the brain. The animation of glyphs resembles body language, making them more effective at conveying messages across language barriers. Glyphs can also enhance the recall of the message by triggering an emotional connection in the brain.

Each glyph comes with a range of values it can enhance a stat according to the item when you open the glyph in the Glyph Storage or when you use it to enchant an Artifact. This is not the actual amount at which glyphs can improve a stat, but the maximum amount it can increase a stat. The actual value of the glyph is determined by the tier and quality of the item you're enchanting it to.

Most upgrade components inserted into items are not able to be replaced or salvaged without dismantling the gear in question, with the exception of legendary equipment and upgrades. If you do have an unusable rune or glyph that hasn't yet been added to your gear, you can move it to a different piece of equipment by using the Upgrade Glyphs context menu on the Glyphs panel. This will create a Glyph Set that includes the chosen glyph.

If you wish to remove the glyph from an item upgrader mod then you'll need to save it using an Black Lion Salvage Kit or Ascended Salvage Tool. The item where the glyph is placed will be destroyed, but the upgraded Best item upgrade can be recovered by removing the glyph fragments.

When you remove an item after adding a glyph the shards that are part of that glyph will disappear. You can also add an inscription to your equipment to make it more valuable. For instance, the glyph Deferred Damage can store damage for the wearer and distribute it slowly rather than all at once. This is beneficial for players who take lots of damage from enemies but don't want to be overwhelmed.

Reroll tokens

Reroll tokens permit players to change the affixes of their weapons and equipment and can be found in various ways such as in mistery boxes, as rare drops from skulled creatures, or by killing bosses. Each reroll provides the player with a random affix that is generally better than the one they had before. Reroll tokens are also a great method to reroll the stats of a weapon, which can be upgraded for better damage or additional perks.

Items that have been rerolled do not appear in the item upgrade menu, but they still qualify to receive upgrades. Rerolled items can be recycled by pressing the "upgrade" button that alters the layout of the item window and allows up to six items to recycle. Recycling an item adds a small amount of points to its gauge of level. The amount is determined by the item's rarity and also its level. Thus, items with higher levels are more valuable to recycle than those with lower levels.

Players can also use Reroll Tokens and Star Remnants to reroll weapons to upgrade units. Rerolls will determine the percentage chance of a particular weapon trait. If it rolls higher, the weapon is upgraded. If it is lower, the weapon remains unchanged. Weapons can be upgraded up to three times.

Rerolling is a fantastic method to improve an item. However, players must be aware of the fact that the total ilvl will be decreased by the number of the rerolls required to bring it to the final ilvl. This effect is most evident on rings and Diadems, since they have no other options to increase the ilvl.

Some players have complained that the reroll system is too expensive. It's more fair to allow players to pay for it using money or food items that allows them to make changes to their builds without having to invest too much time. However, paid rerolls are not something that the developers would like to implement at this point in the game's development. They're planning to include a potion that will allow players to change their race in the future.

Leveling

There are a number of ways to level up an item upgrade. The most effective method to level up an item upgrade is by increasing the amount of upgrade items. This boosts the upgrade value for any stat. The alternative is to increase the effect of an upgrade, which increases the healing or damage for the stat. Finally there is the possibility to upgrade the base item to a more powerful upgrade items type. When this is done, the new item will keep its iLevel however it will benefit from the upgrade effects of the upgraded type of item.

It is crucial to keep in mind that upgrades are not guaranteed. In most cases a better roll is based on the glyphs. However there are occasions where a higher or more special roll may occur. Additionally the iLevel of the upgrade will be determined by the item type, so if you upgrade a rare or unusual item to an extraordinary type you has a chance to get a higher iLevel.

Upgrades can be expensive particularly if you are upgrading your equipment from the standard track to the legendary. The cost of upgrading an item will be contingent on its base iLevel as well as the number of levels to upgrade. Some upgrade tracks also require crests to reach the next level.

If you're fortunate the upgraded item will reach the maximum level on its upgrade track and unlock an additional benefit. This will result in a significant increase in the value of the item. The bonus effect will change with each upgrade level though. In general, the upgrade effect is increased by +3.

The iLevel also changes according to the upgrade path and base level. For example an item that has been upgraded from a unique or rare to a rare or exceptional item will be able to gain the Enhanced Defense of the new base item type.
