World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading

Upgrades can increase the value of weapons, armors and rings. They also increase bonuses, such as PvE damage and crit chance.

For instance, a weapon with the upgrade template that is ending in % will gain 3damage to attack each time it is upgraded (relative to its previous value).

The cost of upgrading an item is determined by the item's level. The cost increases as the item upgrades level increases.

Components

Upgrade components are items that can be inserted into weapons, armor, and trinkets in order to provide an extra stat boost or effect while they're in use. They can be acquired through crafting, buying from vendors, trading or looting. Certain upgrades also come with special cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components can be inserted into equipment that has a slot for them; the item must have been at least upgraded to the blue level in order for the component to be inserted. Upgrade components, unlike other mods can only be applied once. They cannot be replaced or applied multiple times. Infusions and enrichments are a particular kind of upgrade component that is designed for non-amulet ascended and legendary equipment, as well as some of the non-ascended back items. Infusions and enrichments can be recovered by salvaging gear from the ascended, or by completing an elite mission in the Prophecies, Factions and Nightfall campaigns.

A suffix or prefix can be added to an upgrade, changing the name of the item it is used on (for example 'Canthan Armor Insignia,' becomes Canthan Armor Minor Vigor). Certain upgrades boost the Mark Level or Rarity, allowing players to create stronger versions of that equipment that require fewer Upgrade Crystals than is required to reach the same upgrade level through normal methods.

A 'boost' upgrade can alter the attack or defence attributes of the weapon or armor. These upgrades can be made from the Portative Forging Station once the player has completed the cutscene, and defeats the Crazed mechanic. They can be dropped by enemies when upgrading other gear, or by buying them from the cash shop for 500 upgrade crystals.

Each upgrade increases the likelihood that a better-quality version of the item will be revealed during the next reset. This gives the player some incentive to continue upgrading their gear even if they're not sure of how much they'll improve after a future reset.

The process of upgrading an item can be expensive and it is likely that the item will become obsolete, or even break, when the upgrade is unsuccessful. Upgrade Crystals and assist powder are also destroyed if the upgrade fails. Cash shop items can be used to reduce or eliminate the possibility of failure. Some upgrades also give the player a bonus if they are reinserted.

Glyphs

Glyphs are upgrade components that can be placed in special sockets on the Paragon Board. Glyphs boost the power of all nodes in their radius, including pre-existing affixes on equipment. Glyphs can be upgraded in a variety of ways. We recommend upgrading them as quickly as possible up to 15 levels.

In the final game you'll find that the Best item upgrade way to enhance your gear is by placing Glyphs. They are the only upgrade component that can be upgraded to level 15 and give a significant boost to your power on the Paragon Board.

Most of the upgrades in the game can be replaced however Glyphs are the one upgrade component that can be removed and re-placed without restrictions. Only legendary equipment can be salvaged and rebuilt using the aid of a Black Lion Salvage Kit.

Each Glyph has a specific range of values it can improve a stat by. The value is shown when you choose the Glyph in your inventory. You can decide to replace it with a Glyph with the same rank or higher rank, which will boost the overall value of the glyph.

Glyphs are available in the Black Lion Trading Post as part of a Gem Store bundle or purchase them with certain tools that are unlimited in use as well as during Faction Crypt Raids. Leveling

The item upgrading system lets players increase the performance of certain items by placing upgraded components inside them. This is commonly known as "upping". Every upgradeable item has a level that determines its final upgraded stats. Upgraded items are able to be leveled up to a maximum level of 385 ilvl. Each level of item requires various components, and upgrade costs increase with each level.

Some upgrades require an ingredient to be activated. This ingredient can be obtained by completing Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be purchased from NPCs or on the upgrade tab of the crafting table. Each Upgrade Recipe completed will result in a certain amount of Technology points. These points can be used for upgrading an item. Once enough points are earned, you will be able to claim your upgrade and get its extra bonuses.

When an individual player upgrades an item the original item is replaced by an item that is new. This means that the same armor piece will become the form of a shield or weapon when upgraded. The new item level upgrade also has its own set bonus. This can be a disadvantage because it can make the item more expensive if you don't need it.

If the player has enough tokens they can reroll Item Upgrader Kit upgrades. This causes the item to be exchanged for a new one, which will come with a level 1 base and a totally different set of bonuses. This can be beneficial however it should not be repeated often since it can waste resources.

Some upgrades can be rerolled multiple times to increase their value, allowing the player to customize their gear. Dolphin's Gift is a good example, since it grants buffs when the player repeatedly enters or exits the water. This can be upgraded several times, each time raising the maximum roll by 10 points. Requirements

Item upgrading allows players to increase the level of their equippable equipment--armor, weapons, and trinkets above ilvl 385--by offering the appropriate currency and items to an NPC who upgrades items. Upgrades to armor set pieces boost the defense of the base set, while upgrades to weapon items increase their base damage as well as the required strength and dexterity.

All items can be upgraded up to five times, with the exception for hero gear, which can be upgraded eight times. Each each time you upgrade an item it is given an opportunity to fail. The rate of failure increases as you exceed the maximum number of upgrades. Failures will result in the item reverting to its initial state, which requires the player to pay for more resources than if they had stopped upgrading after the maximum number.

If an item is not able to upgrade, the amount of accumulated experience in its growth bar is reset to zero. The item also loses any bonuses it has gained like the chance to crit, attack damage, or additional effects (such as an increase in healing over time, or reloading speed). However, the user can still continue to use the weapon or armor following the failure.

Whenever an item is upgraded, the upgrades are applied from lowest to highest. This means that, if a weapon gains an increase in the chance of crit it will be applied prior to any increase in attack damage. A new attribute known as Slots has been added to the item's definition and the value is recomputed each time an upgrade is applied.

The amount of resources required to upgrade an item is dependent on its rarity score and the number of upgrade slots. The cost of upgrading equipment that is not premium is equal to the value of the base item. For example an item of common use could have five upgrades at a cost of. 25600 Technology Points 4x Quality Improvement Opportunity. Hero grade items have a lower cost per upgrade.

Premium items have different requirements for upgrading than standard gear--for instance, they may require fewer sowels, but they will require more minerals and erons. The player will need to take every piece of gear they wish to upgrade to NPC [Armor] Boboko located in Central Flarine. In addition to the upgrade costs mentioned above, each upgrade will require the use of different ingredients needed to upgrade.
