It's quick and does an excellent job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It vacuums carpeted rooms quickly and hardwood floors in the kitchen, living room, and hallways with just one motion. Its suction motor of 8,000pa makes short work of picking up sand, dirt and pet hair. Carpet detection automatically increases power when it detects carpets, and the dual side brushes help to clean debris from corners.

The mopping performance, though still impressive, is not as effective. The mop rotates at a high rate and it pushes down with 2.2lbs of force, effortlessly scrubbing up dirt and staining. I've noticed that the front arms protrude out a bit more than other robots, which can be helpful to maneuver around tight corners and on baseboards. The same front arms can also be used to collect larger objects like books and broken toys.

Another great feature is that the S1 Pro is one of the most quiet robot vacuums and mops I've ever tried. It is quieter and doesn't create as much noise when mopping or vacuuming. The S1 Pro is only limited by the fact that it must utilize a specific mopping solution and is sold separately. It is easy to install, and it works well. However, if you are buying this robot vacuum cleaner best vacuum solely for mopping purposes, you will need to pay attention to this.

The X1 Omni is the most expensive robotic vacuum that is able to mop in our review, however it comes with some distinct features that are worth considering. The X1 Omni is most well-known for its massive dock that serves as a charging base for the robot, a sink for cleaning and two water tanks that are 4 liters in size. The X1 Omni is unable to automatically switch between mopping and vacuuming mode during a cleaning session. You'll have to manually swap between the two modes, which isn't an issue aside from the fact that mopping pads aren't washed and dried between use and can cause mildew or mold.

On the positive side it's worth noting that the X1 Omni is a beautiful-looking robot thanks to the design team at Jacob Jensen (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who came up with its modern, sleek base and mopping pad. It's a significant change from the utilitarian black bases of competitors like Roborock and iRobot and a pleasing sight in a space that is dominated by bulky boxes and clunky models.
