World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading

Upgrades can boost the value of certain numeric statistics on armor, weapons and rings. Upgrades can also boost bonuses like crit chance and PvE Damage.

For instance a weapon that has the upgrade template that is ending in % will take on an attack damage of 3% each time it is upgraded (relative to its previous value).

Item upgrading costs crests and the current level of the item. The cost increases as the level of the item rises.

Components

Upgrade components are items that can be slotted into weapons, armor, and trinkets to give an extra stat boost or effect while they're in use. They can be obtained through crafting, purchasing from vendors, trading with other players or looting. Some upgrades can also be accompanied by special cosmetic effects.

upgrade items components can be inserted into equipment that has a slot for them. The item must have been at least upgraded to the blue level to allow a component to be applied. Unlike other mods, upgrade components can only be used once and cannot be applied multiple times or replaced by new upgrades. Infusions and enrichments are a type of upgrade component that is used to upgrade non-amulet legendary or Ascended equipment, as well other items that are not ascended. Infusions and enrichments can be recovered by salvaging ascended gear or completing an elite task in the Prophecies, Factions and Nightfall campaigns.

A prefix or suffix may be added to an upgrade, which alters the name of the item it is applied to (for example 'Canthan Armor Insignia,' is changed to Canthan Armor Minor Vigor). Some upgrades boost the Mark Level or Rarity, allowing players create stronger versions of that equipment that require fewer Upgrade Crystals than is required to achieve the same level of upgrade using normal methods.

A 'boost upgrade' can modify the attack or defense attributes of a weapon or armor. Once the player has completed the cutscene and defeated the Crazed Mechanist These upgrades can be crafted at the Portative Forging Station. These upgrades are available for purchase them in the cash shop, or by collecting them from enemies when upgrading other gear.

Each upgrade increases the likelihood that a higher-tier version of the item will be dropped during the next reset. This gives the player some incentive to keep upgrading their gear even if they're uncertain of how much it will improve after a future reset.

The process of upgrading an item could be expensive and it is likely that the item will become obsolete or even break in the event that the upgrade is unsuccessful. Upgrade Crystals and assist powders are also destroyed if the upgrade fails. Cash shop items can be used to decrease or eliminate the risk of failure. Certain upgrades also provide an additional bonus when they are reinserted.

Glyphs

Glyphs are upgrade parts that can be placed in special sockets on the Paragon Board. Glyphs boost the power of nodes within a radius, and include any existing affixes. Glyphs can be upgraded a variety of ways, and we recommend getting them up to level 15 as soon as you can.

You'll often see in the endgame that putting Glyphs is a great method to upgrade your gear. They are the only upgrade component that can be upgraded straight to level 15, and they provide a large boost to your power and radius on the Paragon Board, enabling you to get higher nodes more quickly.

The majority of upgrades in the game can be replaced, but Glyphs are the only upgrade component that can be removed and replaced without restriction. The only exception is legendary equipment that requires a Black Lion Salvage Kit to salvage and re-place.

Each Glyph has a certain range of values can enhance a stat by. The value is shown when you select the Glyph in your inventory. You can choose to replace it with another Glyph of the same rank or higher rank, which will boost the overall value of the glyph.

Leveling

The item upgrade system allows players to increase the effectiveness of certain items by adding upgraded components. This is known as "upping". Each upgradeable item comes with a level, which determines its final upgraded stats. Upgraded items may be leveled up to a maximum of 385. Each item level requires a different amount of components to be reached and the costs for upgrading increase as the item gets upgraded.

Certain upgrades require a certain ingredient to activate. This ingredient can be obtained by finishing Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be found in the upgrade tab of a crafting table or obtained from NPCs. Each Upgrade Recipe completed yields a certain number of Technology points. These points can be used to level the item, and once enough are earned, the upgrade can be claimed and its additional bonuses will be added to the item.

When a player upgrade a piece of equipment, the base item is replaced by the new item. This means that the same armor piece will get a weapon or shield when upgraded. The new item also comes with its own set bonus. This could be a drawback, as it can make the item more expensive if you don't need it.

Item upgrades can sometimes be rerolled if the player has enough reroll tokens in order to do so. This causes the item to be exchanged for a new one, with the level 1 base, and a completely different set of bonuses. This is a good idea but it shouldn't be done often as it could waste resources.

Certain upgrades can boost their value and allow players to personalize their gear. Dolphin's Gift is a good example, since it grants an increase in power if the player is repeatedly in or exits water. This can be upgraded several times, each time raising the max roll by a factor of 10. This item can be very useful in PvP battles, since an item that is properly rolled it can be worth between 20 and 50x its value if it is not upgraded.

Requirements

Item upgrading allows players to increase the level of their available equipment--armor, weapons, and trinkets above ilvl 385--by presenting the appropriate currency and items to an NPC that upgrades items. The failure rate increases the more you go over the maximum amount of upgrades. Failures will result in the item reverting to its initial state, which requires the player to spend additional resources than if they had stopped upgrading after the maximum amount.

If an Best item upgrade is not upgraded, the experience bar in its growth bar will be reset to zero. Additionally, the item will lose any bonuses it gained, including crit chance and attack damage, and all additional effects associated with that effect (for instance, a higher healing over time or reload speed). The player is able to use their weapon or armor even after the failure.

Whenever an item is upgraded the upgrades are applied from lowest to highest. This means that, if a weapon gains an increase in crit chance, the increase is applied prior to any increase in attack damage. The amount of resources needed to upgrade an item are based on its rarity rating and the number of upgrade slots. The cost of upgrading non-premium items is the same as the base value of the upgrade. For example, a common equipment item might have 5 upgrades at a cost of 25,600 Technology Points and a 4x Quality Improvement Chance. Hero grade items will have the lowest cost for each upgrade.

Premium items have different upgrade requirements as compared to standard equipment, for instance, they may require fewer sowels but more minerals and erons. The player will need to bring every piece of gear they wish to upgrade to the NPC [ArmorBoboko. Boboko located in Central Flarine. Each equipment upgrade will require different amounts of upgrade ingredients in addition to the costs listed above.
