Top Black Friday and Cyber Monday Robot Vacuum Deals

This is your time to own a robot vacuum. CNET's top-rated models will be available during Black Friday and Cyber Monday with discounts as high as 57%..

The Roborock Q7 Max is a powerful robot that has smart mapping and app-based no go zones. Its run time of 180 minutes is impressive. It also self-empties and automatically refills its water tank.

1. Roomba j7+ iRobot from iRobot.

The Roomba J7+ is iRobot's most advanced robot vacuum to date. Its greatest breakthrough is its camera-based obstacle detection system that utilizes built-in AI to detect objects such as charging cords, shoes and the dreaded pet waste most other robots can't avoid (and often plough right through). It's also the first to automatically send you a picture of the object it comes across so you can tell it to avoid it in the future.

The Combo J7+ is the most effective mop-bot we've ever tested, removing spills and dirt with ease and leaving no trace that it was there. It's easy to control through the iRobot Home app which allows you to schedule cleaning and create Keep Out Zones so that it doesn't clean areas you do not want it to. It's compatible with Alexa or Google Assistant so you can start and stop it by voice.

Its design is superior to the rest and features a sleek, top piece that looks more like a toy robot rather than a loud, loud one. Clean Base's automatic vacuum Dirt Disposal System is also self-emptying which can cut down on cleaning time.

In our tests, the j7+ was quick to clean up dust dirt, pet hair and other particles. Its counter-rotating rubber brush rolls kept the debris in one place instead of scattering it all over the floor. It was able to collect small pieces of gravel, sand, and even a little grit. The majority of robots cannot do this. And it did all of this without getting tangled up in our pet's shedding hair.

While it's not quite as sophisticated as the Roomba s9+ Self-Emptying Vacuum and can't clean stairs, the J7+ is an excellent choice for those who need mopping and a vac in their home. It's not costly and the iRobot App makes it easy to use.

The iRobot Home App is easy to use but we found it less reliable than other robotic cleaner applications. It can take a while to download updates, and it is sometimes difficult to determine if they are working until you actually see them in action.

2. Roborock Q5+

If you're looking for a vacuum that does more than just clean floors, your best cheap robot vacuum choice is probably hybrid. These bots are equipped with a water tank so they can vacuum and mop at the same time. These bots also come with many additional features such as smart mapping, small object avoidance, and the possibility of washing and re-drying mopping pads. They're expensive at retail, but usually are reduced on Black Friday or Cyber Monday.

Roborock has some of our favorite robot vacuums and the Q5+ is no exception. This is the least expensive model in their auto vacuum-empty line. While it may not come with some of the luxurious features (like no-go zones or multi-story memories) however, it's an excellent choice if you are willing to make a few compromises to save a few bucks.

The Q5+ is exceptionally gentle when it comes to obstacles like table legs and walls. This makes it an ideal choice for homes that have many furniture pieces. It's also extremely thorough in cleaning up dust bunnies. This is a area where most robot hoover vacuums of lower quality do not excel in. The Q5+'s navigation system is excellent, with few misses along walls or in corners.

The Q5+, as with other Roborock products, can be controlled by just a few buttons on the device or through the Roborock App. With the app you can begin and stop cleanings, set schedules, create virtual barriers and no-go zones and adjust your home map or change the labeling of rooms.

If you choose the Q5+ model, it comes with a new auto emptying dock that is designed to make this robot easier to maintain. It requires a screwdriver to install, but once it's installed, the process of emptying the bin is easy. It also comes with an impressive LCD display, which is nice to have when you're setting up schedules or altering settings. This isn't a necessity for the majority of people however it can help you keep track of your robot's maintenance intervals with ease.

3. Narwal Freo X Ultra

The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a sophisticated, well-rounded vacuum and mop. It's capable of vacuuming and mopping. Its design is one of the most innovative in the market, but it's expensive.

The base station looks nice and is easily hidden when not in use, and its size is quite compact. The station's most appealing feature is the way it automatizes various tasks and functions that other robots will leave to you. It can store dirty and clean water, and then electrolyze and heat the water. Most other robovacs will require you to do this.

Its vacuuming performance is quite impressive and efficient, too. It's one of the few robot vacuums I've tested that do an excellent job of collecting debris from plain floors, and is not as loud as the more expensive Roomba 980 or iRobot the 900 series.

The Freo X Ultra is not without flaws, especially when it comes to navigation. Its laser sensors and LiDAR sensors aren't as reliable as other robovacs. This means it could get stuck or get confused in certain corners or rooms in the house. It also can't climb stairs like other models and isn't equipped with a dock to create a cleaning area for plush carpets.

Although it doesn't provide the same amount of cleaning options available in its app, or as many shortcuts in the app like other robovacs the Freo X Ultra is still a top choice for those looking for a comprehensive robot vacuum and mop that's worth the premium price price.

However, if you're looking to save money or simply don't care about the limitations of this robotic there are many alternatives on the market, including a lot of eufy models priced considerably less. The Eufy Qrevo curv, for instance is a bit more expensive and has many more features, like stair climbing and a full-function Dock, which provides a better overall vacuuming experience on plain floors carpets with low pile as well as high-pile ones.

4. Eufy RoboVac G30

eufy is an Anker company with an established track record of making robot vacuums that offer the perfect combination of features, performance and price. The G30 Hybrid is no different, offering a capable cleaning on hard floors and carpets and mopping function too at an affordable price point. It's simple to set up, just snap on one of the side brushes and then turn it on. Then connect the charging dock. The app takes you through a few steps to connect it to Wi-Fi and then the G30 is ready to go. You'll need to leave the dock close to an electrical outlet and ample space to allow it to move around, however.

The G30 is small, 2.85 inches tall to be exact and can be tucked away under couches and other low-clearance furniture. Its design is more subtle compared to some rival models. It features a sleek black finish and three physical buttons for Auto Cleaning start/pause (which scrubs a spot in a spiral fashion over two minutes) Recharge and Spot Cleaner. It is also possible to connect the G30 to Amazon Alexa or Google Home to use voice commands to do unscheduled cleaning.

The primary aspect that sets the G30 above the rest is the method it cleans. It uses a built-in mapping to create an image of immovable objects it encounters, remembering what it's already cleaned and where it can't access. If it requires a recharge, it returns to its starting point and begins cleaning where it began.

The elegant G30 isn't without faults, though. The iRobot Roomba 675 is much better constructed, has lower recurring costs, is charged faster and has a similar battery life, while providing superior performance on floors that are unfinished and low-pile carpet. It comes with a larger dust bin, which doesn't require more emptying. It also comes with boundaries that prevent it from certain areas. The G30 is, on the other hand is more affordable and a lot easier to maintain. Its smaller container means it doesn't have to be emptied as frequently and has less difficulty handling bulky products like cereal.beginners-guide-to-smart-mapping-robot-vacuum-cleaners-medium.jpg
