It comes with a massive 4600mAh battery that can last for up to 170-minutes when mopping and suction are set to standard mode (it is able to run longer in turbo). It will even return to the dock to replenish its battery midway through cleaning.

It is very fast and does an excellent job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It vacuums carpeted rooms quickly and hardwood floors in the living room, kitchen, and hallways with just one pass. Its suction motor of 8,000pa makes short work of picking up dirt, droppings and pet hair. Carpet detection automatically boosts power when it encounters rugs and the dual side brushes help pull away debris from corners.

The mopping performance is less impressive, but not by a lot. The mop rotates at a high rate and it pushes down with 2.2lbs of force, effortlessly cleaning up dirt and staining. I've noticed that the front arm protrudes out a little more than other robots. This is helpful when getting into tight corners or on baseboards. The same front arms can also be used to scoop up larger objects such as books and toys that have been damaged.

The S1 Pro is also one of the quietest robot hoover mop and vacuums I've used. It doesn't produce as loud of a sound while vacuuming or mopping and is quieter than the Narwal Freo X Ultra or RoboRock S7. The S1 Pro is only limited by the fact that it has to use a mopping solution that is proprietary and is sold separately. It's simple to set up and is effective, but it's something you'll have to keep an eye on when you purchase this vacuum for the sole purpose of mopping.

The Roborock Q Revo

The Q Revo is different from other robot vacuums in its class. It has a robust suite of features that make it a great choice for homeowners looking to purchase an extremely efficient, flexible and adaptable cleaning machine.

The Matrix Plus is a 2-in-1 robot vacuum and mop, which means it is able to handle mopping and vacuuming. The robot is divided into two parts that include a dry bin as well as a water tank that can be snapped out and in and a mopping module that is equipped with an elastomer pad. Separate modules for mopping and vacuuming may seem a bit old-fashioned but they're a good thing because that you don't need to worry about changing disposable bags or refilling the water tank.

Our test subjects discovered that the Matrix Plus did a great job of vacuuming as well as mopping. Its greatest feature was its accurate map of your floorplan which it uses to create a route when cleaning. The Matrix Plus was able to navigate effortlessly through rugs, furniture and other obstacles. The app lets you create 'No-Go Zones' or virtual barriers to prevent certain areas from being cleaned by mop.

We also found that the Matrix Plus did surprisingly well in picking up hair of pets. It was able capture an enormous amount of hair that shed by our cats and even got into the nooks and crannies of our stairs which other robots struggled. It was quiet and had some lovely jingles to indicated when it was starting or finished its work.

Its main drawbacks were its simple app and the necessity to switch between the modules to switch between vacuuming and mopping. The app doesn't have the capacity to store multiple maps, which could be a hassle if you have a home that has a variety of floors. The Matrix Plus robot is a ideal choice for people who want a smart device that can vacuum and mop.

The Yiko X1 Omni

The X1 Omni is the most expensive robot vacuum that mops (https://kingranks.com/author/spleenalarm78-1796256) in our review, but it comes with some unique features that make it worth a look. The X1 Omni's most appealing feature is its enormous dock which doubles as a charging base and the housing for two 4 liter water tanks, a clean sink and an automatic 2.5-liter dust bin that automatically empties.

The base also has a number of control buttons that allow you to manually start cleaning and then recall the robot or use the dock's automatic emptying process. Hold down two of the buttons to turn off a child lock, which is a nice option for parents concerned about kids tinkering with the vacuum.

Similar to other robotic vacuums, the Omni Omni uses its camera to spot furniture and obstacles in its path, and then avoid them. Its True Mapping 2.0 navigation system maps your home 10 times faster than laser detection systems and is four times more precise in recognizing objects.

Unfortunately this means that the X1 Omni could occasionally get caught up in obstacles, like an electrical cord dangling across a rug--that it becomes stuck and ceases to function until you manually free it. While it was not common but it was a very frustrating experience when it did happen and especially because the X1 Omni does not have a "stuck" status alert on its app.

Another possible issue is the X1 Omni's inability to automatically change between vacuuming and mopping modes during the cleaning process. You'll need to manually switch between the two modes, which isn't that bad but the mopping pad isn't cleaned or dried between use. This could lead to mildew and mold.

The X1 Omni looks great, thanks to the Jacob Jensen design team (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who designed its sleek, modern base and mopping pad. It's a major change from the utilitarian black bases of competitors like Roborock and iRobot, and a welcome sight in a space which is dominated by clunky, boxy units.
