The Joie Roomie Glide is a bedside cot used crib that lets parents sleep with their infant while ensuring they're sleeping safely. Its smooth gliding motion is able to soothe your baby into sleep and its innovative features allow you to keep an eye on them without leaving your own bed.

The cot's slide-away side panel lifts and lowers with the touch of a button, making it simple to reach in and soothe a crying baby at night. It also has 11 height adjustments that let it fit on the mattress of almost any size bed. It also has adjustable folding feet to make sure that it sits at just the right height.

It's also lightweight and easy to move around during naps or for travel.

We love that it's made of soft materials that have breathable mesh sides that promote airflow and comfort. It comes in charcoal or oak and various melange fabrics that blend with most decor styles. Anna found it to be sturdy and secure when attached to her bed, with the legs firmly snapping into place and the zips secure to ensure safety for babies. It took her about 10 minutes to assemble and did not require tools, and comes with clear instructions and a video or support number available if you have any problems.

Alongside the usual features you'd expect from a bedside crib that include the ability to attach to your bed using a stay-in-place connection system and six height levels The CoZee comes with an additional incline option which can be used to help aid congestion or reflux in infants. It's also machine washable, a necessity with all the dribble, vomit and snot that comes with having a baby!

If you want to keep your baby close to you during the first six months of their life when they're able to go to sleep on their own, the CoZee is a great option as it can also be used as a stand-alone cot, changing table and toddler bed. With the addition of a sofa bed extension pack, it can transform into an crib. Although it can't magically put your baby to sleep or feed them, it will rock the baby and take them to school.

The Chicco Next2Me Magic

This is one of the more expensive options. However, it has numerous great features. It's designed to function as an individual side sleeper or standalone crib, and is suitable from birth up to six months. It comes with a new mechanism for opening and closing the side panel and is easy to operate even with one hand. It's also more flexible than its predecessor with 11 different height levels as well as retractable feet for a secure fit under any bed.

Our testers loved the easy access the side panel provides that can be moved up and down at the touch of one button. This was particularly useful at night, as they could reach in and pick their baby up without disturbing them.

The side panel can be lifted on its own however it isn't recommended as this increases the risk of your baby falling out of the cot. However, the patented safety locking mechanism ensures that it can only remain in place when it is attached to the parent's bed correctly. This is an excellent feature to have for peace mind, especially if you're breastfeeding and require frequent nighttime feedings.

The Chicco Next2Me Magic is designed to be compatible with any bed, including divan bases and beds with drawers thanks to the legs that telescopic. It comes with a tilting function to help reflux babies, and the ability to rock to soothe them to sleep after a feeding. It's also extremely large and offers excellent ventilation thanks to its mesh sides.

Our test participants found the Next2Me Magic easy to set up and use, although it does have quite an extensive instruction manual. It's a bit heavier than other side-sleepers, but it's easily moved from one area to another. It's also foldable into a bag for travel which is great for those who want to transport it. The only issue our testers noticed was that the side panel did not flex like some of the other models, which made it slightly harder to see your baby from your bed.

The Shnuggle Air

If you're looking for a bedside crib that will develop with your child, then the Shnuggle Air is definitely worth a look. It's designed to be a sleep-co-sleeping bassinet that can be attached securely to your bed, but can also convert into a stylish cot once your baby is ready. It's ideal for feeding at night and for strengthening your bond with your baby.

The Shnuggle Air crib is designed to breathe, not like other models. Its dual-view mesh sides as well as the airflow mattress, which is hypoallergenic and breathable increase airflow to keep your baby cool and comfortable. A gentle incline helps to reduce colic and reflux, while the zip down side makes it easy to feed or comfort your baby bedside crib during the night.
