Greenpower Mobility - All-Energy Medium and Heavy-Duty Vehicles

Greenpower creates manufactures and distributes an entire range of heavy- and medium-duty electric scooter green vehicles. This includes transit buses and school buses, Greenpower Mobility as cargo buses as well as shuttles.

EV Star is a highly customizable zero-emission vehicle. It's fully FTA certified, Altoona tested and Buy America conforming. It provides a wide range of options, ADA wheelchair provisions, and cargo delivery systems.

EV Star

GreenPower Motor Company manufactures a complete line of medium- and heavy-duty electric vehicles, which include lower-floor and high-floor models. Their flagship vehicle is the EV Star Cab & Chassis platform, which can accommodate a variety of upfits and bodies for multiple applications. The platform's clean sheet design allows for the optimal placement of battery packs and a lower center of gravity, which results in better payload to range ratios.

The EV Star REEFERX is designed to serve mid to last mile refrigerated delivery and catering. The refrigerated truck's class 4 configuration's one wall structure in the interior and higher insulation compared to traditional trucks allows for seamless sanitation, better temperature control and a more extended life. The EV Star REEFERX has a higher capacity for cargo, and an industry-leading payload to reach the range of zero-emission goods or passenger transportation.

GreenPower has partnered with Perrone Robotics to up-fit the EV Star with their TONY (To Navigate You) autonomous vehicle system, which will allow fleets to seamlessly move to autonomous vehicles. The AV Star will also be capable of wireless charging of 75 kW.

We were allowed to test drive the EV9 on an unpaved highway for several hours, and found it to be simple to drive and comfortable to drive for long distances. The EV9 can block road noise and wind while driving on the highway. It rides smoothly over ruts and humps. The acceleration of the vehicle is astonishingly fast, and it comes with adjustable regenerative brakes to enable "one-pedal driving" simply by lifting off the accelerator.

The EV9 is extremely reliable and can be fully recharged in just three hours at home or using any commercial charger. The driver can choose from two operating modes - eco mode and sport mode. Eco mode prioritizes torque, cruise control and handling while sport mode maximizes speed. Both are fun to drive and offer an unique experience for anyone who has not driven an green power electric mobility scooter vehicle before.

GreenPower offers several other eVehicles which include a multi-purpose electric minibus dubbed the EV Star. The EV Star is ADA compliant and can be utilized as an executive shuttle, micro-transit, transit bus, Green mobility scooter vanpool or paratransit vehicle.

GreenPower is already producing around 10 EV Star buses a month for the Jacksonville Transit Authority, which is attempting to replace their fleet of older diesel vehicles with 100 fully electric vehicles. GreenPower will increase production to meet the demands of the Biden Administration which wants to electrify all school buses in America. Their EV Star buses are the first of their kind to be Altoona tested and FMVSS certified. They are Buy America compliant, and ADA compliant. This means they will be eligible for federal assistance in transit. Keep an eye on us as we follow the AV Star on its tour of demonstration later in the year.
