Path of Exile Item Upgrades

Item upgrades are a common and crucial method to enhance the performance of a variety of items in Path of Exile. They can also provide additional damage, AD or even affixes.

Sometimes, however, upgraded Common and Magic gear is beaten out by Rare-grade gear because of their higher requirements.

Armor

Armor upgrades can be applied to both weapon and armor items. They boost the performance of the item they are connected to. Upgrades to armor can be found in the world of the game and purchased from Blacksmiths on bonfires. Alternatively, they can also be rescued from items with upgrade components in them using a specialist or more powerful salvage kit.

The level of an armor's or weapon's upgrade determines the amount of damage it is able to take on. A piece of armor upgraded to maximum upgrade level will increase its damage absorption. It is important to note that this will increase the weight of the armor, which means it must be more heavy.

There are several different types of armor upgrade available in the game. Each one has a distinct impact. Certain upgrades grant armor a greater amount of health points while others make it stronger and lighter. The name of the armor upgrade will tell you the kind of upgrade that an item upgrade (infozillon.com) will be given, as illustrated below.

Some of the upgrades also require magic or a combination of technology and magic, as identified by the "Magic" and "Hybrids" entries in the table below. Jewels

Jewels can be used to boost a stat or provide secondary effects in weapons and armor. They can be created through the process of jewelry crafting, in which you combine a gemstone and several reagents at a jewelry table. These reagents can be obtained around the world through Treasure Goblins, World Bosses and occasionally by salvaging Legendary gear. The quality of a diamond can be improved by the Jeweler, in stages that vary from Crude to Royal. Based on the level of the jewel it can provide different stat boost when slotted into weapons, equipment and jewelry.

All levels of jewels can be crafted at the Jeweler however, there are some exceptions to this, such as the rare and legendary jewels that require you to be at a certain level to obtain them. Jewels can be replaced by another jewel without damaging the original. You can only replace the jewel once within an item upgrader kit of equipment.

It is common to use more gems to enhance the appearance of. The jewels also improve performance and create a surface harder than steel, so that the repeated friction caused by pivots does not damage them.

A Glyphmaster can provide glyphs that can enhance the appearance of your weapons and shields. These provide a small bonus and are able to be swapped easily but aren't guaranteed to drop as loot. Glyphs, just like jewelry, can be upgraded by the Jeweler to exchange Scattered Crystals and gold. Glyphs may also be removed and returned to the inventory. Trinkets

Trinkets can be used to provide your hero with a variety of small, but valuable, advantages. They can be obtained in the beginning areas as loot or personal story rewards from vendors, and through completing road interactions. They may also be crafted by jewelers and later found or purchased from the Trading Post.

The first trinkets that a player unlocks will be the cloak, which gives a small, but valuable boost to speed of movement and the ability to escape. After that, they'll be able to purchase amulets, rings and necklaces in a similar way to how a player can acquire weapons and armor. Each piece of equipment comes with one upgrade slot that can accommodate either a universal or jewel upgrade. Universal upgrades are smaller and can be used on any device. Jewels cannot be upgraded or replaced and are only compatible with certain trinkets.

These trinkets grant additional buffs and abilities that are active when the hero isn't in combat. This allows a hero to become more efficient even when not in combat. It can also compensate for the lack of a excellent slots in the team or talent tree which are usually filled by the hero's Best item upgrade stats.

In general trinket upgrades should be prioritized over BiS (Best in Slot) items you won't replace soon.
