If you're on a budget and don't need a stroller that doubles into car seat carriers, the Babyzen Yoyo is a good choice. It has a simple one-step foot brake that's flip flop comfortable.

It's also easy to push and feels sturdy when you're navigating kerbs and woodland paths. Plus, it's a dream to fold.

1. Babyzen YOYO2

The Babyzen YOYO2 has earned a name as the ultimate light-weight buggy for city dwellers and jet-setters alike, thanks to its super nimble manoeuvrability and foldable design that can be tucked away in aeroplane overhead luggage. The latest version comes with independent suspension on all four wheels that is made from Hytrel Elastomer, which allows it to effortlessly navigate through all kinds of surfaces and terrain'.

The frame's base YOYO2 frame along with the curved fabric bassinet and six-month color pack make a stylish and elegant pushchair that's easy on the eyes and has a subtle but elegant aesthetic and tasteful branding. The frame's weight is less than a kilo, and is so lightweight that you can lift it from the box with just one hand.

It's also easy to add or remove adaptors or attachments - the hood, for instance, snaps on to the YOYO2 using reassuring clicks - as well as being machine washable at 30 degrees to help deter staining from rice cakes smushed and half-dissolved carrot puffs. The Newborn Pack and bassinet can be used from birth as prams. It can also be converted into a single gb stroller after 6 months using the YOYO connect to additional chassis.

3. Delta Children LX Side-by-Side

This bare-bones double stroller from Delta Children is an excellent choice for parents looking for an affordable, second-hand travel stroller. It scored high in our Strollers and Multiples Test for weight and folded dimensions, meaning it is lightweight and compact when folded and easy to carry and put into a car trunk. It also comes with an adjustable recline seat that can be adjusted in multiple positions and an integrated cup holder for the parent. Other key features include two large hanging storage bags as well as 360-degree front wheels that absorb shock.

In our test of push and turn it performed better than the majority of other strollers that we test, but it's not the most maneuverable over uneven ground or through doorways that are narrow. The sunshades it has were among the tiniest of strollers we test. They only cover the top single strollers of the stroller and do not feature peekaboo windows. The UPPAbaby G-Link 2 and Zoe Twin+ have larger sunshades.

The front wheels can to be locked in a forward-facing position and can also pivot. This is helpful for navigating through rough terrain. We let the front wheels to swivel while walking along an uneven path. It handled the situation well, even though it felt slightly bumpier.

5. Baby Jogger City Tour 2

Baby Jogger is best known for its three-wheeled, all-terrain, strollers that jog. But they also make a broad range of 4-wheeler pushchairs. The City Tour 2 is one of their most sought-after models. It is easy to use and folds up small enough to fit in a car boot even with the carrycot attached.

It's a bit heavier than other strollers that we tested but the wheels are rubber composite, which makes it feel well-built and durable. It is able to maneuver effortlessly across all types of terrain. It's also a breeze to lift, even when loaded with two children and shopping bags.

Both the seat and the carrycot come with hoods that can be lowered to reveal a UV50+ sun canopy extension. They are showerproof and sturdy unlike other prams' hoods that get turned back into toddlers faces.

It does not have much storage space, but it does have an ample basket that is deep enough to accommodate a changing bag or plenty of groceries. It can also be used with a Baby Jogger car seat for babies that weigh up to 20 pounds (car seat and adapters are sold separately). If you require a stroller that can be taken on the road, then the City Tour 2 is an excellent choice.

6. Nuna Mixx Next

Nuna Mixx was an infant stroller that captivated the hearts of many parents when it first appeared. It's a frame made of aluminum that can see you through your baby's initial days and beyond. It is a standout model with many unique features, such as the ability of the seat to flip between the front facing parent and the outside as well as a large UPF50+ canopy with a flip-out eyeshade, and an adjustable handlebar.

It is compatible with two infant car seats and even can be used with carrycots. In twin mode, the seats can be positioned to face each other or can turn around and face their parents, potentially cutting down on sibling fights over who gets to sit with mom and dad. It comes with a huge tray for gears as well as a bottle holder and snack trays. It also has an automatic frame lock and a superior compact fold.

8. Baby Jogger Urban Glide 2
