Path of Exile Item Upgrades

item upgrade upgrades are a common and essential way to boost the performance of a variety of items in Path of Exile. They can be a great source of additional damage, more AD or even more attachments.

Often times however, upgraded Common and Magic gear is beaten out by Rare-grade gear due to their higher requirements.

Armor

Armor upgrades are a type of upgrade that can be applied to weapons and armor items. They boost the performance of the item upgrader they are connected to. Upgrades to armor are available in the world of the game and can be purchased from Blacksmiths at any bonfire. They can also be salvaged using a professional or higher salvage kits to recover upgrade components from items.

The level of an armor's or weapon's upgrade determines the amount of damage it can absorb. Upgrading a piece of armor to the highest upgrade level will boost its damage absorption. However, it's important to be aware that this upgrade will increase its weight, which will cause it to be heavier than before.

There are several different types of armor upgrade available in the game. Each one has a distinct effect. For instance, certain upgrades will grant the armor a certain amount of health points while others make it lighter and stronger. The name of the upgrade will tell you the kind of upgrade that an item upgrade will receive, as shown below.

Certain upgrades require magic or a combination of technology and magic, which are identified by the "Magic" and "Hybrids" entries in the table below. Certain upgrades require charges in order to be used. These are identified as "Charges" entries in the table. These charges are either constantly updated or never expire based on the upgrade.

Iron Ore is the cheapest option to improve your armor. It can be found by exploring and looting small chests. Weapons

Weapon upgrades allow players to enhance certain aspects of their weapon. For instance an upgrade could increase the damage dealt by the shells of a shotgun or the accuracy of a rifle that snipes. Certain weapons come with special upgrades that enhance their inherent capabilities. Frictionless materials (improves stability, reduces the risk of the possibility of overheating), and Kinetic coils (increases the projectile's speed to cause more damage) are two examples.

The majority of upgrades to weapons require a whetblade, one of three Power Dices and a different amount of Minerals and Erons. These can be obtained by completing Side Quests or by killing a certain number of bosses and monsters.

To upgrade a weapon, equipment set piece, or Whetblade, you must visit the NPC [ArmorBoboko. Boboko located in Central Flarine, and pay her an upgrade fee that is a certain number of Bars. Jewels

Jewels are utilized in the armor's sockets and weapons, enhancing the power of a character and bringing about secondary effects. All levels of jewels can be made at the Jeweler and Jeweler's Workshop, with the exception of the rare and legendary jewels that require you to be at a certain level to be able to get the privilege of having them. In contrast to other upgrade components, jewels are able to be swapped with a jewel of the same type without damaging it. You can only replace the gem only once in a piece of equipment.

Trinkets

Trinkets can be used to provide your hero with a variety of small, but beneficial benefits. They are available in the start-up area as rewards for personal stories or loot. They can also be obtained through vendors and after the completion of road interactions. They can be found on the Trading Post, or crafted by jewelers.

The first trinkets a player can unlock is the cloak, which grants a small, but valuable boost in speed of movement and evasion. After that, they'll be able to get amulets, rings, and necklaces in a similar way to how a player acquires weapons and armor. Each piece of equipment comes with an upgrade slot which can be universal or jewel. Universal upgrades are smaller and can be used on any equipment. Jewels are not upgradeable or replaced and are only compatible with certain trinkets.

These trinkets grant additional buffs and abilities that are active when the hero isn't in combat. This lets the hero be more effective while inactive and also helps to compensate for the absence of a solid team or the absence of any slots from the talent tree which would normally be filled with the hero's ideal statistics.

A good rule of thumb for trinket upgrades is to prioritize BiS (Best-in-Slot) items that you aren't planning to replace soon, followed by items with desirable stats that are less important than the iLevel of the item upgrade being upgraded. This is especially true when an item has multiple stats that you'd like to upgrade as it's usually better to upgrade just one crucial stat than two subpar ones.

Jungle players usually upgrade their yellow trinket to a red trinket at the beginning of the game. Top and mid players, on the other hand will pick a pink or green ward, based on the matchup. These choices can impact a hero's ability to control the map.

In addition to the items mentioned above, players can also find other trinkets in the form of rewards and trophies throughout the game. They can be earned by completing certain milestones in the story, for instance the main quest of a chapter or killing a certain boss.
