WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades will give you a boost to certain stats. Each upgrade boosts the item level by +3. Each upgrade also boosts an unspecified substat.

The more modernized gear generally has a higher trade value as long as it meets low requirements (like the FB sorc's shield) or has a high stat variance (like eth titan weapons). Upgrades are less valuable for those with higher variance due to the requirement to roll the perfect version.

Upgrades are items that can be used for weapons, armor, tools and accessory upgrades. They can be purchased by players from item upgrader mod upgraders NPCs in a variety of currencies. They can also find them in random treasure lists. Once an upgrade is purchased it can be used on any weapon or tool using an button, which displays an image of the item when it is upgraded in the event that the player has enough materials.

It is recommended to use your Whelpling-rank Crests on the best gear that you can find and save Drake and Wyrm Crests to be used for the next set of upgrades. This is especially true for items such as trinkets and rings that take up multiple slots. The discount on the account is only applicable when all the slots on the character are filled with top-quality gear.
