World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading

Upgrades can boost the value of armors, weapons and rings. Upgrades also boost bonuses like crit chance and PvE Damage.

If the weapon's upgrade template is %, it will increase 3% of its previous damage for every time it's upgraded.

The cost of upgrading an item is determined by the item's level. The cost rises with item's level.

Components

Upgrade components can be incorporated into weapons, armor and trinkets in order to provide them with a boost in stats or add a bonus effect. These can be obtained through crafting, buying from vendors trading or looting. Certain upgrades come with special cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components can be placed in equipment that has a slot to accommodate them. The item must be at a minimum upgraded to blue level in order for the component to be used. Upgrade components, unlike other mods can only be applied once. They are not able to be replaced or applied multiple times. Infusions and enrichments are a specific kind of upgrade component that is designed for non-amulet ascended and legendary equipment, as well as some of the back items that are not ascending. Infusions and enrichments can be recovered by salvaging gear from the ascended, or by completing an elite mission in the Prophecies, Factions and Nightfall campaigns.

A prefix or suffix can be added to an upgrade, thereby changing the name of the item upgrader kit it's used on (for instance, 'Canthan Armor Insignia',' changes to Canthan Armor Minor Vigor). Some upgrades increase an item's Mark Level, or Rarity, which allows players to create stronger versions of that equipment that require fewer Upgrade Crystals than would be required to achieve the same level of upgrade through normal methods.

A boost upgrade can change the attack or defence attributes of an armored weapon or. These upgrades are available to be made using the Portative Forging Station once the player completes the cutscene and defeats the Crazed mechanic. These upgrades can be purchased by purchasing them from the cash shop, or by collecting them from enemies when upgrading other gear.

Each upgrade increases the probability that a better-quality version of an item will be available at the next reset. This gives the player some incentive to keep improving their equipment even if they're not sure of the extent to which it will increase after a future reset.

The boost upgrade may be successful or not, the process may be costly, and there is a high risk that the item level upgrade may be obsolete or even break if it fails. A failed upgrade will destroy Upgrade Crystals and Assist Powder as well as the upgraded item. Cash shop items can be used to reduce or eliminate the risk of failure. Some upgrades also offer an additional bonus when they are reinserted.

Glyphs

Glyphs can be used to improve the Paragon Board by placing them in special sockets. Glyphs increase the effectiveness of all nodes in a radius around them, including pre-existing affixes on equipment. Glyphs are upgraded in a variety of ways, and we recommend upgrading them to 15 levels as soon as possible.

You will often find in the final game that placing Glyphs is a great way to upgrade your equipment. These are the only upgrade component that can be upgraded to level 15 and offer significant boosts to your power on the Paragon Board.

The majority of upgrades in the game can be replaced, but Glyphs are the only upgrade component that can be removed and put back in place without any restrictions. The only exception is legendary equipment that requires an Black Lion Salvage Kit to salvage and then re-install.

Each Glyph has a certain range of values it can improve a stat by. The value is displayed when you select the Glyph in your inventory. You can replace it with a Glyph that is the same or higher rank to increase the value of the Glyph.

There are Glyphs in the Black Lion Trading Post, as part of the Gem Store purchase or bundle with certain gathering tools that are unlimited-use as well as through Faction Crypt raids. Each Faction Crypt has the possibility of dropping one of the many Glyphs and there are some rare glyphs to be obtained as drops from any of the four Faction Crypts.

Once you have gotten the desired Glyphs you'll need them to be placed on your gear. Each Glyph unlocks a special bonus which will boost the stats of a specific set of nodes in a radius surrounding the Glyph. Based on the Glyph it could be +40 to one of your primary stats or +25 to two of your secondary stats.

Glyphs boost all nodes that are connected to them, which is why it is Best item upgrade to place Glyphs in key spots on the Graph. This will increase the impact. For instance that a Druid should try to place their Glyphs near their primary damage nodes however, you may also want to be sure to place them near the most critical damage nodes too.

Leveling

The upgrade system for items lets players increase the effectiveness of certain items by placing upgraded components in them. This is also known as "upping". Every upgradeable item has a level that determines its final upgraded stats. Upgraded items are able to be leveled up to a maximum of 385 ilvl. Each level of item requires various components, and upgrade costs increase with each level.

Certain upgrades require an ingredient to be activated. This ingredient can be obtained by completing Upgrade Recipes. These recipes are available in the upgrade tab of a crafting table, or obtained from NPCs. Each Upgrade Recipe completed results in a certain amount of Technology points. These points can be used to level up the item, and once enough points are earned, the upgrade can be claimed and the additional bonuses will be added to the item.

When the player upgrades an item, the base item is replaced with a different item of the same type. This means that the same piece of armor will be transformed into the form of a shield or weapon when upgraded. The new item also comes with its own bonus. This could be a drawback because it can make the item more expensive, even if you don't require it.

Item upgrades can sometimes be rerolled, provided that the player has enough tokens to be able to do this. This will cause the item to be exchanged for a brand new one, with the level 1 base, and a completely different set of bonuses. This can be useful for certain items, but it shouldn't be performed frequently, since it can use up a lot of resources.

Certain upgrades can be rerolled multiple times, increasing their value and allowing the player to customize their equipment. An excellent example is Dolphin's Gift, which gives an increase in power when a player is repeatedly in and out of the water (or does not swim as a dolphin). Requirements

The item upgrader allows players to raise the level of their equipment (armor, weapons trinkets, and armor) above ilvl 385 by providing the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades to armor set pieces also increase its base defense and upgrades to weapon items increase their base damage as well as their strength and dexterity.

All items can be upgraded a maximum of five times, except for hero gear which can be upgraded up to eight times. Each time you upgrade an object, it is at risk of failing. The failure rate increases as you go over the maximum number. Failures will result in the item reverting to its initial state, which will force the user to spend more money on materials than they would have to had they stopped upgrading at the highest number of upgrades.
