Path of Exile Item Upgrading

The ability to Upgrade Items (Heavenarticle.Com) allows players to enhance their weapons and equipment with new affixes, increasing its base stats or adding additional perks. To upgrade items, the player must have the item in their inventory and have access to the kiln.

Usually objects that have weak bases (like rings) can be upgraded to a more powerful base while objects with strong bases, such as eth titans aren't affected in their stats following being upgraded.

Upgrade components

Upgrade components can be incorporated into trinkets, weapons, armor and gathering tools, providing an attribute bonus or additional effect while the equipment is in use. They can be purchased from vendors, found in loot, thrown away by enemies, or obtained as a reward from missions or chests. Some upgrades can have additional cosmetic effects. Most upgrades require that the equipment be above a certain level before they are upgraded.

In order to upgrade an item upgrader of armor, the player must select it and then click the Upgrade button in the toolbar. The screen will show on the right-hand side of the screen a preview showing the expected upgrade stats and the components or materials required for the upgrade.

There are three kinds of upgrade components that are universal upgrades, prefix upgrades, and suffix upgrades. Universal upgrades, like gems, are able to be placed on any type of equipment. They offer a lower bonus than upgrade components that are subject to a type limitation. Infusions are only placed in ascended gear or legendary equipment are exactly the same as jewels but provide larger bonuses and are not able to be placed in any other type of equipment. Suffix upgrades are able to be placed in gathering tools, will add their names to the end of the name of the item level upgrade they are attached to, for instance adding the word Glyph to the Staff Wrapping of Minor Vigor would transform it into a Canthan Staff Wrapping of Minor Vigor.

Leveling

If an item fails to reach its maximum level, the NPC offers the player the option to transfer it to a different character and then re-infuse it with a new set or upgrades. This process can take up to two hours and costs the same amount of material, though it will have less chance of success.

To measure the height of a building engineers employ an instrument to compare the measurement against a known reference point like a benchmark, or the ground's elevation. This method is known as a "level-loop." It involves taking readings with the level, backsighting rod and then turning the level to take the foresighting rod reading. Rerolling
