WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades will give you a boost to certain stats. Each upgrade increases the level of an item by +3. A random substat is also added to every upgrade.

The upgraded gear is usually more useful, unless the item has low requirements by nature (like FB sorc shields) or has a large variance in stats (like Eth Titan weapons). Upgrades are not as valuable for those with lower requirements due to the need to roll a perfect version.

Recycle Points

The item upgrader allows players to upgrade their gear by offering the currency to an NPC. Upgrades can be applied on any type of armor or weapons. The item used to upgrade the item is discarded and cannot be used again. Upgrades can also be used to create the enchantments.

The upgrader can be found in all major cities and can be visited at any time to upgrade your equipment. To ensure that your equipment is up-to-date it is recommended that you visit the upgrader each few weeks.

When a piece of equipment attains the highest level of upgrade for any rank (Explorer or Adventurer), it no longer requires Flightstones. This change lets players upgrade their gear to the highest level possible for all their characters, instead of relying on seasonal loot.

Another notable change is that crests only have one usage and it's crucial to use them properly. For instance it's best to use all of your Whelpling-rank crests with the Best item upgrader gear you have available, and then save Drake and Wyrm crests for the next batch of upgrades you're planning to create. This is particularly relevant for items like trinkets and rings that take up multiple slots. The discount for the entire account will only apply when all slots on the character are filled with high-quality gear.
