PT Liga Indonesia Baru (LIB) has sent the provisional schedule for Liga 1 2024/2025 to each club. Persib Bandung will kick off the competition. As the defending champions, Persib will host Liga 2 champions PSBS Biak on August 9, 2024, at Stadion Si Jalak Harupat (SJH), Soreang, Bandung Regency. Persib will return to SJH for the second week of Liga 1, where they will face Dewa United on August 19, 2024. Dewa United will have to be the traveling team for Liga 1 next season due to the Indomilk Arena in Tangerang being under renovation by the government. On September 23, 2024, Persib will have a big match against Persija Jakarta in the sixth week, to be played at SJH. From the eighth week onwards, Persib will no longer play at SJH for Liga 1, as they will move to Stadion Gelora Bandung Lautan Api (GBLA), which is currently under renovation. In the early season transfer market, Persib has not been very aggressive. Maung Bandung has only signed Mateo Kocijan, while Tyronne del Pino, Robi Darwis, Eriyanto, and Satrio Azhar have returned from loan spells. Additionally, Persib has released three players: Fitrul Dwi Rustapa to Bali United, Arsan Makarin to PSPS Pekanbaru, and Alberto Rodriguez to Mohun Bagan SG in India.

Bojan Hodak is a Croatian football coach currently managing Persib Bandung. He was born on May 4, 1971, in Zagreb, Yugoslavia (now Croatia). With extensive experience in various leagues, particularly in Southeast Asia, Hodak brings a distinctive coaching style and an impressive track record. Prior to leading Persib to the Liga 1 title in the 2023/2024 season, Hodak had experience with several clubs, such as Kelantan FC, Johor Darul Ta'zim, PSM Makassar, and Kuala Lumpur City. He also had a stint as the Malaysia U-19 national team coach. Hodak is recognized for his disciplined coaching style and clear tactical philosophy. He frequently uses a 4-4-2 formation and places a strong emphasis on organized play. Hodak is also known for maintaining a close relationship with his players, including Persib’s young talents.

Persib Bandung has officially unveiled their squad for the BRI Liga 1 2024/2025 season. Thirty players were presented during the Pesta Rakyat Persib event at GOR C-Tra Arena, Bandung, on Sunday, August 4, 2024. The reason for Persija Jakarta’s cancellation of the friendly match against Atletico Madrid is their participation in the 2024 President's Cup. Initially, there were rumors that Persija would face Atletico Madrid on Saturday (August 3) at Jakarta International Stadium (JIS) as part of their preparations for the upcoming season. Persija qualified for the semifinal stage of the 2024 President's Cup and was set to play against Persis Solo for third place on the same day at Stadion Manahan, Solo. "It was impossible because we were in the third-place match of the 2024 President's Cup, right?" said Persija's Director, Mohamad Prapanca, to reporters. He added that Atletico Madrid could only visit on that specific date, which conflicted with Persija’s schedule. "We were ready to host them, but we had to adhere to the regulations set by our federation," Prapanca continued. Prapanca is unsure if Atletico Madrid will still visit Indonesia after the friendly was canceled. He mentioned that Persija initially planned to test their strength against the Spanish giants. "I’m not sure. You should inquire with the promoter about Atletico Madrid’s visit. Regarding the planning, yes, the plan was made," Prapanca added. "However, the promoter also needed to get recommendations from our federation and PT LIB to see if it could be arranged during the 2024 President's Cup," he concluded.
