A quick review of the Cosmos Troupe's performance "Casino Royale - My Name is Bond".

This is the performance of Makaze Suzuho and Junka, written and directed by Koike Shuichiro-sensei and based on a novel. Personally, I had planned to see it in the village, but due to various circumstances, I ended up seeing it in Tokyo. In the meantime, I heard good things from various people...???? I watched it without any expectations, but it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, and I think it was a good work.

I wondered if it was really necessary to make it a two-act story, and there were some parts that reminded me of past works... What's more, it was all the more difficult because the stars had poor pronunciation and the lines were hard to understand. It's true that when I first saw it, I couldn't hear the proper nouns and there were many scenes that made me sleepy. As expected, I could hear the stars in the middle, but I think that the minimum stage technique of jumping lines forward as an actor is necessary not only for the upperclassmen but also for the lowerclassmen and middle-rankings (something I often feel in the Hanagumi). People who don't usually watch Takarazuka often say that it's hard to hear the lines, especially the male roles. Even I, who am used to watching it, think so, so it's no wonder.

However,

Makaze Suzuho-sama looked great in suits and tuxedos. I thought his last work was about suits, but he was a real James Bond and looked great. He was also convincing in his role as a smart, popular second lead. The confrontation scene with Serika Toa-sama was also impressive and wonderful, with both big stars.

That Serika Toa-sama is the villain again this time. I had a sense of déjà vu, but his cold-hearted appearance was a great fit for the role. I think the beauty of Takarazuka is that even villains retain their elegance.

Junka-sama was really cute, with easy-to-listen lines and a good voice, and she wore any costume beautifully.

It's been a while since I've seen such a beautiful top actress, and I couldn't help but follow her with my eyes.

The stage set was luxurious, and the costume sense was good. It's a shame that the music, including the theme song, wasn't catchy... a simple melody would have been fine...

Music on stage is really important.

The production was just so-so, but the top duo and Serika Toa looked great in their roles... and so did Sakuragi Minato, Kotobuki Tsukasa, Wakasho Ritsu who made an impact, Yuki Shion the amazing dancer, and Amasai Mineri who looked great as a villain.

The character development was interesting and charming. The stars were wonderful and entertaining and a treat to watch.

I'll give my impressions of each star next.
