WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades provide a guaranteed boost to certain stats. Each upgrade increases the level of the item by +3. A random substat is also boosted alongside every upgrade.

Upgraded gear generally sees more value in trade regardless of whether it has low requirements (like the FB shield of the sorc) or a very high stat variation (like the eth titan weapons). Upgrades aren't as important for those with lower requirements due to the requirement to roll an exact version.

Recycle Points

The item upgrader lets players upgrade their gear by transferring the currency to an NPC. Upgrades can be applied on any type of armor or weapons. However, the item that is used to upgrade will be consumed forever and cannot be used again. Upgrades can be applied to enchantments.

You can upgrade your gear anytime by visiting the upgrader in any major city. To keep your gear up-to-date it is recommended that you visit the upgrader every few weeks.

Upgrades will cost more depending on the item level, however they'll always be less expensive than purchasing new equipment. Upgrades such as upgrading a Benthic chest to ilvl385 will cost you 20 recycle points. A similar item will cost you 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are useful items that are used to level up weapons and tools, armor and accessories. Players can purchase them from NPCs of item upgraders in a variety of currencies. They are also available on random treasure lists. Once purchased, an upgrade can be applied to any tool, weapon or armor. The button will display a preview of an item's next level of upgrade, when there are enough materials.

The cost of upgrading is based on the item slot and the current item level and the weapon's price is higher than gloves or bracers for example. Each step costs 15 Flightstones plus a set number of crests. Some upgrades offer discounts on Flightstones. Once an item is upgraded to a certain level it is able to be degraded and sold back to the upgrader for a lesser amount of both currencies.

Many locations offer item upgraders which include the main island and some outposts. The NPCs offer both an upgrade discount and a chance to acquire a new upgrade recipe. The discount for upgrades increases depending on the amount of items being upgraded. It can also be increased by requiring players to complete specific achievements or quests.

In contrast to Cromwell in Baldur's Gate II there is no item upgrader available in the beginning of Icewind Dale. Instead, the NPCs that can be used to upgrade require various methods that are both an improvement and a drawback.

In Season 3, many new features were added to the upgrade system. Once an upgrade has been completed to a specific level for an armor slot upgrading other items to the same item upgrade level will cost less. This is regardless of whether the items are from another set of equipment.

The amount of Valorstones needed for upgrades is reduced, and the discount is affixed to all accounts. The amount of Harbinger Crests required to upgrade is reduced too, but it is only available once certain milestones have been reached.

Crests

Players have several options when it comes to upgrading their equipment in WoW. Flightstones are a currency that is available to everyone for upgrading. Crests are more specific and are utilized during specific item level upgrades. Crests are an essential part of the Dragonflight gear progression system, which was introduced in 10.1, and come in four ranks.

The first thing to note is that crests can only be used to purchase equipment of a particular rank, and every rank has different requirements for its upgrade path. The easiest and most straightforward upgrade costs 15 crests. The most complex upgrade could require as much as 20 crests, based on the type of equipment that is being upgraded.

Players can earn crests by finishing content at the appropriate level, which means walking around and doing outdoor activities for gear of lower tiers, raids or dungeons of any difficulty for higher-tier items, or Mythic+ heroic raid bosses or dungeons to obtain endgame gear. The crests can later be exchanged at an Item level upgrade, images.google.co.il, upgrader NPC, such as Cuzolth in Dornogal or Vaskarn in Valdrakken to obtain the appropriate upgrade paths and steps.

Utilizing these new currencies isn't that difficult, but the system does introduce some modifications to the upgrade process. For instance, once an item reaches the highest level of upgrade items for any rank (Explorer, Adventurer, Veteran, Champion, Hero, or Mythic) it won't require Flightstones to be upgraded. This is to allow players to upgrade their equipment up to the highest level possible on all their characters rather than relying solely on seasonal loot.

It's also essential to use crests in a wise manner, as they only have one use. For instance it's a good idea to use all of your Whelpling-rank crests with the Best item upgrade equipment available, and then save Drake and Wyrm crests for the next batch of upgrades you're planning to make. This is particularly applicable to items like trinkets and rings that fill multiple slots. The discount for the entire account is only applicable when all the slots on the character are filled with top-quality gear.
