Throne and Liberty Gear Upgrades

The upgrade of gear can increase its stats base and often boosts its extras. The worth of these upgrades is determined by their tiers, requirements and the amount of random enhancements used.

To upgrade gear players must first locate the item then click the "level up button". This will display a menu that shows the item's current status and what it will be after being leveled up and the required amount of Growth Stones to achieve this. The number of Growth Stones needed to upgrade item the item is determined by its rarity. Typically rare (blue) weapons require more than one green Growth Stone to reach their next level, whereas uncommon armor requires only one green or blue Growth Stone.

Once they have decided on the upgrade, players must select the number of green Growth Stones they wish to use and pay the corresponding cost. Once the requirements are fulfilled, the player may then click on the upgrade button to apply the Growth Stones to the Best item upgrade. This will raise the item's level a certain percentage. When an item reaches its maximum level that it can no longer have the option of upgrading. Once a piece of equipment reaches a specific upgrade track (e.g. Upgrades for the Veteran or Explorer track will be discounted.

Upgrade components are a form of equipment that can be inserted into weapons, armor trinkets, trinkets, or gathering tools to provide an additional bonus or effect while the equipment is equipped. They can be purchased through vendors, looted or obtained through questing. They can also be traded between players. The helm upgrade "Foundation of the Sun" for instance, increases the base defense and adds an additional 20 percent chance to block. In addition the dps upgrade "Wildfire" increases damage to weapons.

Upgrades can be beneficial to some items, but not because they boost stats. They are more valuable for the players when they achieve a perfect roll. When you select an upgrade component that you want to put into an item the game will show an in-game window that lists the required requirements. The game will put an item upgrader in your inventory when you've completed the prerequisites for an upgrade item. The progress bar will then change to show you how close you are towards finishing the upgrade. You can also verify the status of an upgrade by going to any upgrader NPC for the item you want to upgrade.
