It's the first Monday of a calm December.

I wanted to plant some deep purple pansies in a pot, so I chose alyssum and galactos.

The variegated, jagged leaves look pretty nice.

Looking at the name tag, I saw that it was galactos, which I'd never heard of before, and it seems to produce flowers like thistles.

I googled it, and sure enough, I got a hit: a cream-colored thistle called galactos.
