Hello everyone.

I've already spent over 100 hours playing Dragon Quest V...

I'm still working on it even after I've maxed out my level and recruited a stray metal.

This is on par with Mabinogi production...

Now, today I'd like to introduce some of the companions who were useful on my journey.

However, I won't be writing about the standard characters like Pierre and Golems.

This is a pattern where characters that you don't often hear of as main characters turned out to be surprisingly useful.

First up is Danny of Dance Needle.

I scouted him around Reinhat in his early teens.

At the same time, there were other useful companions like the Slime Knight and Dragon Kids,

so he is sometimes introduced as a useless monster.

The best way to make the most of him is as an attacker with whip equipment.

There aren't that many monsters with area attacks, except for slimes.

If you team him up with the main character Boomerang and Henry & Danny Chaincross,

you can eliminate most of the small enemies in one turn.

His speed is also high, so he is the key to no-damage battles.

His defense is weak, so he was useful in the back row until we cleared the Volcano of Death.

Next is Hoimin the Hoimi Slime.

Some people leave him out of the main because his stats look low,

but he is perfect for healing in the carriage! !

If you train him properly, he will learn Behoma, Behomaler, and Behomazun.

He also has more MP than Behoma Slime, so he is perfect for off-field support.

His weakness is that the timing of when you can recruit him is strict.

He can only be encountered in the upper levels of the Tower of God, which can only be entered when Maria joins.

Do your best while scouting Wandering Armor, Empusa, and Big Eye, which appear at the same time.

The third one is Simon the Wandering Armor.

His attack power is a little low and his strengths overlap with other powerful monsters, so he is not often used.

If you equip him, his attack power will be the highest in the party for a while.

However, he is rarely used because he is competed with by Pierre, who can use magic, and Golem, who is stronger.

He has no resistances, so I usually train him in a carriage and have him play an active role in boss battles.

His true value is revealed after the game is cleared.

With the Iron Ball of Destruction and Starry Bracelet, he becomes the strongest attacker! !

With the highest HP and the fastest and strongest area attack, he can defeat small enemies and bosses alike.

The above rare items can be purchased at the tool shop in the Sugoroku area, so you can enjoy his true value alongside his competitors.

By the way, "Simon" is a companion of Ortega, the protagonist's father in Dragon Quest III.

A warrior from Samaonsa who was imprisoned in Boston Troll before joining Ortega.

In the novel version, he is Himiko's husband and the father of King Hydra and his companion wizard.

Just the name alone will make you feel attached to him.

Next is Dancing Jewel.

He maxes out at level 7 and has the best resistance and defense.

He is particularly effective against Buoon.

He can nullify lightning and fire, and can easily defeat them alone by using Bagi Cross, which the enemy is weak against.

This strategy is also effective against Mildras and Esturk, and he can be used as the strongest wall against bosses.

His weakness is that he has low intelligence and won't listen to you.

Feed him some seeds of intelligence.

Finally, there is Fire, the Fire Warrior, who can be scouted since the PS2 remake.

You will encounter him in the Volcano of Death, and when he is your enemy, he is so strong that you will want to cry.

The probability is low, so you will have to be patient to join.

However, when he joins, his enemy annihilation power is second to none.

Its fierce group attacks with fire and whip are simply spectacular.

Of all the monsters that can equip whips, he has the greatest power growth, so my strategy was to give him the Baikilt.

He was an efficient leveling attacker

and was useful until we entered the Demon Realm.

To be honest, I was able to take him to the final battle, but he reached the maximum level, so I had to give his seat to someone younger.

In the PS2 version, there is a sure-fire way to win at the casino, so I was able to equip him with the Gringham Whip, which was also a factor in bringing out his ferocious abilities.
