WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades will give you a an increase in certain statistics. Each upgrade increases the level of an item upgrading by +3. Each upgrade also boosts a random substat.

The upgraded gear is usually more valuable, unless the item has low requirements by nature (like FB sorc shields) or has a high variance in stats (like the eth Titan weapons). The latter see less value from upgrading due to the necessity to roll for a perfect version.

Recycle Points

The item upgrader allows players to upgrade items their gear by offering the currency to an NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any kind of armor or weapon. However, the item used for the upgrade will be consumed for the duration of time and cannot be used again. Upgrades can be applied to the enchantments.

You can upgrade your gear at any time by visiting the upgrader in any major city. To keep your gear up-to-date it is recommended you visit the upgrader every couple of weeks.

The cost of upgrades will be based on the current level of the equipment being upgraded however, they will always be less expensive than purchasing new gear from other sources. For instance upgrading a chest piece from Benthic to 385 ilvl will cost 20 recycle points, while buying a similar item level upgrade [Get Source] from a different player will cost 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are useful items which can be used to upgrade weapons tools, armor, and other items. They can be purchased by players through NPCs who sell upgrades to item owners for a variety of currencies. They can also find them on random treasure lists. Once an upgrade is purchased, it can be applied to any weapon, tool, or armor with an The button will show a preview of an item's next upgrade level if there are enough materials.

The cost of upgrading varies based on the slot of the item and the current item level. For instance weapons are more expensive than gloves, bracers, or bracers. Each upgrade cost 15 Flightstones plus a set number of crests. Some upgrades offer a discount on the Flightstones. For instance, it's best to utilize all of your Whelpling rank crests on the top equipment you have and then keep Drake and Wyrm crests to use for the next set of upgrades you plan to create. This is especially true for items like rings and trinkets that take up multiple slots on the character, which can only be eligible to avail the account-wide discount when all of the slots are filled with high-quality equipment.
