Here are my personal impressions of XPERIA 5 IV.
Oh, is it a building in the press release? lol
First of all, I like the case design. Roundness is no good after all. This alone is already a win lol
The battery capacity is 5000mAh and it supports Qi, but I'm afraid that it may stop charging due to thermal throttling.
In addition, it is equipped with S8Gen1. Hmm, I wonder. As a guideline, I think it would be fine to have a performance limiter like the GALAXY S22, but since I have an RM7P, it simply means that the roles are divided. (Assuming use of XPERIA 5 II, XPERIA 10 IV, etc.)
I don't think that this alone will be a problem, but it is important to be able to deliver high-end performance in an emergency. (10 IV lol)
I wonder if the SIM-free version has a nanoSIM+eSIM configuration, and if it covers the main bands of each carrier, then I think it won't be a problem. (I wonder about the Docomo n79) I think they did a good job with the weight of 174g. They've also managed to maintain the size, so that's a pretty strong point.
The bad thing is that I hardly use it, but the specs have been downgraded from a periscope-type telephoto lens (70-105mm) to 60mm. All lenses are compatible with real-time AF, but I wonder if it's okay to remove a feature that's quite the highlight. However, the periscope-type unit takes up a lot of space on the main unit, so it's unavoidable when you consider the battery and Qi.
The fact that the storage is only 128GB (256GB for the SIM-free version) is also a minus. As for memory, 8GB should be more than enough, so I guess that's just the way it is.
Well, compared to the XPERIA 5 III, in terms of camera specs it's the III, but in terms of convenience and design it's the IV. This is the tricky part. Sony's sin of not offering frost silver for the SIM-free version of the III is quite serious. If I buy the IV, I think the color will be green or white.
Personally, whether I buy it or not depends on the price. That said, I think the watershed is around 120,000 yen.
Things I buy because I like the look of them tend to last a long time, so I'm hoping that it will last about 2 years like the XPERIA 1 II, but I think I'll go for the Docomo version.
The end
I knew it anyway lol
