I went to the Kyushu National Museum to see Art Nouveau Glass, Gallé and Daum's Hymn to Nature.

Since I was a child, I've loved beautiful and sparkly things✨

Jewels, glass, glitter... I'm attracted to them.

Recently, there have been many exhibits where photography is allowed, and I was happy that this was the case this time as well.

I took a lot of photos.

First, at the glass craft history section.

Starting with ancient glass products.

It's an amazing technique, even though it was so long ago.

There was also an exhibit of Satsuma Kiriko.

I want to buy Satsuma Kiriko, but it's too expensive????

Galle's work.

It looks like a really beautiful goldfish bowl????

I like these colors❤️

This really caught my eye????

It seems that Gallé was influenced by Imari ware.

Imari ware was exported to Europe in the 1600s and was loved by royalty and aristocrats.

I'm happy that Japanese crafts, especially those from Kyushu, have been highly praised☺️

Here is a work inspired by Imari ware.

It has a Japanese taste.

Next is the work of the Daum Brothers.

Unlike Gallé, who painted insects and plants in a deformed way, the Daum Brothers painted them realistically.

Art Nouveau with plants and living creatures as motifs.

You can feel the power of nature.

The Kitazawa Museum of Art in Nagano Prefecture is one of the world's leading museums that exhibits a large number of Art Nouveau works.

I'd like to go there someday...

I'm looking forward to it now♪

I was actually planning to come and see it with my mother.

My mother had a cold so we canceled.

I bought Ume-ga-e-mochi and stopped by my parents' house on the way home to visit them.

I love glass, but I also have bitter memories.

When I was young, I used to give my mother Swarovski ornaments every year for her birthday✨

Swan, bear, biwa...

My mother was very happy.

My mother displayed it in the cabinet along with her favorite Wedgwood plates, Baccarat glasses, and antique cups✨

One day when my son was young, a tragedy occurred.

Oh, a bear! A swan! ... " and half-cried. (Of course)

My daughter cried when she saw that.

I was stunned.

Why did it have to come to this...

I'm a mother who can't get angry at her grandchild.

Even small children like sparkly things.

That's why they take it out without asking.

I thought I'd pay for it someday, but I left it.

When I asked her if she'd thrown away that Satsuma Kiriko, she said,

No, it wasn't Satsuma Kiriko.

It was still expensive glass, but

it wasn't as expensive as Satsuma Kiriko.

People's memories are vague. lol

I had been displaying the Swarovski crystals for many years with the damage on them????

She said she was finally going to get them repaired????

Good thing. .

Come to think of it, I broke a Ryukyu glass plate I bought in Okinawa????

I liked the cobalt blue color of the sea.

Everything that has a shape will break someday.
