World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading

Upgrades can increase the value of armors, weapons and rings. They also increase bonuses like PvE damage and crit chance.

For instance a weapon that has the upgrade template ending in % will take on 3damage to attack each time it upgrades (relative to its previous value).

The cost for upgrading items increases when they reach the item level upgrade's current level. The cost increases with item upgrader kit's level.

Components

Upgrade components can be added to trinkets, weapons and armor to give them a boost in stats or add a bonus effect. They can be obtained by crafting, buying from vendors, trading or looting. Certain upgrades come with special cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components can be inserted into any equipment with a slot for them. The item must be at least upgraded to the blue level to allow a component to be used. Upgrade components, unlike other modifications, can only be applied only once. They are not able to be replaced or applied several times. Infusions and Enrichments are type of upgrade component that is used to upgrade non-amulet legendary and Ascended equipment, as well other items that are not ascended. Infusions and Enrichments can be obtained by salvaging equipment from the ascended state or by completing a mission within the Prophecies, Factions, and Nightfall campaigns.

An upgrade can have a prefix or suffix that alters the name of the equipment with the upgrade (for example "Canthan Armor Insignia" becomes Canthan Armor of Minor Vigor). Certain upgrades can increase the Mark Level or Rarity of an item, allowing players create stronger versions with fewer upgrade crystals than they require to reach the same level with normal methods.

A boost upgrade is a way to alter the attack or defense attributes of a weapon or armor. These upgrades are available to be crafted from the Portative Forging Station once the player completes the cutscene and defeats the Crazed Mechanical. These upgrades are available for purchase them in the cash shop, or by collecting them from enemies when upgrading other equipment.

The player is able to have a maximum of five boost upgrades at a time; each upgrade increases the chance that a better-quality version of the item upgrader mod will appear at the time of the next reset. This gives the player an incentive to continue upgrading their gear, even if they're unsure of the extent to which it will improve after a future reset.

The boost upgrade may be successful or not, the process can be costly, and there is a substantial possibility that the item will be obsolete or even break if it fails; a failed upgrade will cause the destruction of the Upgrade Crystals and Assist Powder as well as the upgraded item. Cash shop items can be used to decrease or eliminate the possibility of failure. Some upgrades also give the player a bonus if they are reinserted.

Glyphs

Glyphs are upgrade parts that can be placed in special sockets on the Paragon Board. Glyphs buff the power of all nodes within a radius around them and include pre-existing affixes to equipment. Glyphs are upgraded in many ways. We suggest upgrading them as soon as possible up to 15 levels.

In the final game, you will often find that the best way to enhance your gear is to place Glyphs. These are the only upgrade component that can be upgraded to level 15 and provide an enormous boost to your power on the Paragon Board.

Most of the upgrades in the game can be replaced however, Glyphs are only the one upgrade component that can be removed and put back in place without any restrictions. The only exception is legendary equipment that requires a Black Lion Salvage Kit to salvage and replace.

Each Glyph has a specific range of values that it can improve a statistic by. The value is shown when you choose the Glyph in your inventory. You can replace it with a different Glyph of the same rank or higher rank, which will boost the value of the glyph.

There are Glyphs in the Black Lion Trading Post, as part of the Gem Store purchase or bundle with certain gathering tools that are unlimited-use, and through Faction Crypt raids. Every Faction Crypt can drop one of these Glyphs. There are also some rare glyphs you can find in any of the Faction Crypts.

Once you have obtained the desired Glyphs you'll require them to be placed on your gear. Each Glyph unlocks a special bonus that will boost a specific set of stat nodes in a radius surrounding the Glyph. Based on the Glyph, this will either be +40 to one of your primary stats, or +25 to two of your secondary stats.

Glyphs boost all nodes that are connected to them, which is why it is best to place Glyphs in the most important locations on the Graph. This will increase the impact. Druids for instance should put their Glyphs close to their primary damage nodes. They may also consider placing them near their primary damage nodes.

Leveling

The system of upgrading items allows players to improve the effectiveness of specific items by putting upgraded components in them. This is referred to as "upping". Each upgradeable item has a level that determines its upgraded stats. Upgraded items may be leveled to a maximum of ilvl 385. Each level of item requires various components, and the cost of upgrading increase with each level.

Certain upgrades require an ingredient to be activated. This ingredient can be obtained by making Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be purchased from NPCs or on the upgrade tab of a crafting table. Each completed Upgrade Recipe yields several Technology Points. These points can be used to upgrading an item. Once enough points are earned you will be able to claim the upgrade and also receive the bonuses.

When an item is upgraded by a player it is replaced with a different item of the same type. The same armor will receive an weapon or shield when upgraded. The new item will also come with a bonus of its own. This can be a downside, as the item can become more expensive even if you don't need it.

If the player has enough tokens, they can roll item upgrades. This will cause the item to be traded for a new one, which will come with an initial level and a totally different set of extra bonuses. This is a good option for some items, but it's not something that should be done regularly, as it can waste many resources.

Certain upgrades can be rerolled many times, increasing their value and allows the player to modify their equipment. An excellent example is Dolphin's Gift, which gives an increase in power when a player is repeatedly in and out of the water (or swims like a dolphin). This can be upgraded several times, each time raising the maximum roll by an increment of 10. This item is extremely valuable in PvP, as a perfectly rolled version of it could be worth between 20 and 50x its value without being upgraded.

Requirements

The item upgrader lets players increase the level of their equippable equipment (armor weapons, weapons, and trinkets) above ilvl385 by presenting the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades to armor set pieces also boost the defense base of the piece, whereas upgrading weapon equipment will increase the base damage and the strength and dexterity required to meet the upgraded equipment's requirements.

All items can be upgraded up to five times, except for hero equipment, which is able to be upgraded eight times. Every each time you upgrade an item it is given the chance to fail. The failure rate increases the more you go beyond the maximum number of upgrades. Failures will result in the item reverting to its initial condition, which requires the user to spend more money on materials than they would have to had they stopped upgrading at the maximum number of upgrades.

If an item isn't upgraded, the experience bar in its growth bar will be reset to zero. The item also loses any bonuses it has gained like crit chance damage to attack, additional effects (such as an increase in healing over time or reloading speed). The player will be able to use their weapon or armor even after the failure.

Whenever an Item upgrader kit is upgraded the upgrades are applied from lowest to highest. This means that, if a weapon gains an increase in crit chance it will be applied prior to any increase in attack damage. Slots is a brand-new attribute that has been added to the definitions of items. The value is calculated each time an upgrade occurs.

The amount of resources needed to upgrade an item is determined on the rarity rating and number of upgrade slots. The cost of upgrading non-premium equipment is equivalent to its value. For example an item of common use could have five upgrades at a cost. 25600 Technology Points 4x Quality Improvement Chance. Hero quality items have lower costs per upgrade.

Premium items might require different upgrades than standard gear. For instance, they may need fewer sowels, but more minerals and orons. Whatever the case, players must visit the NPC [Armorthe ] Boboko in Central Flarine with each piece of equipment they want to upgrade. In addition to the upgrade cost mentioned above, each upgrade will require the use of different ingredients for upgrading.
