The best method for doing this is by measuring the resistance between the ECU and the sensor. It should read around 1000 ohms if the sensor is operating at its maximum. Check for evidence of coolant or oil in the connector bay if you have issues with this component.
2. Injectors
Yesterday, when accelerating from highway paytoll at maximum speed I noticed a massive decrease in power. It was as if the engine was running out of gas. Or my injectors were not firing. In the morning, i removed the spark plugs. Three were soaked with gazoline and the fourth was dry. When i crank the engine, there are no sparks, I put a piece of tissue on top of each injector hole, the 3 drenched with gazoline jump out but the 4th one stays closed. I tried to test the ground connections of ECU pins 14,30, and 48/55. I got zero ohm. I'm assuming the issue is somewhere else.
I also tried to reset PID but without success. The car will start when the G28 is unplugged, and it is running fine with the G28 connected. However, the intermittent misfire problem continues to occur at higher RPM. The coolant sensor (G62) even when unplugged, still shows an ice temperature of -49c. Also, i noticed that the oil pressure gauge in the cockpit is showing 2 bar while the actual pressure is 0.0 if i crank up the engine.
I'm not sure what to do. I believe that I've ruled everything else out. I'm concerned that i may have missed something. If anyone has any suggestions, please share them! TIA!
3. Fuel Pump
The fuel pump in the g28 is activated by a signal by the RPM sensor. The GM-style sensor is the same as the G4 and both are used in the 80 100, 200, UrS and RS2 cars so you can easily find one at a salvage yard or from a parts store.
