We can moisturize the skin in many ways. We can keep skin hydrated from within just by drinking enough water. Green tea is also a favourite with Japanese women and it has antioxidant properties. But there are also great naturally sourced plant oils which are so compatible with our skin that they can really do a great job in moisturizing it. I am thinking here particularly of jojoba oil, macadamia oil and avocado oil.

There are some natural substances that help the body in producing these proteins. Look for ingredients like Cynergy TK in your cream. This extract from the wool of New Zealand sheep has been found in studies to stimulate collagen and elastin production in the body. This helps in keeping the skin firm and elastic.

One of my favorite antioxidants is Vitamin E. It moisturizes your skin, plumps up fine lines (including reducing forehead lines) and feeds your skin in a healthy way.

Emu's oil is a byproduct of the Emus Farmers after removing the feathers and the skin. All the fancy animal fat can be replaced by Olive oil in my opinion by far the best emollient on the market. It contains Squalane previously extracted from Shark's liver. Please make sure when you buy your Skin Care product the Squalane comes from Olive oil and not from sharks. The fishing industry did a good job promoting Squalane from Sharks. Again uses the rest of the animal which is fished essentially for Japanese and Chinese fish fins soup.

Japanese Cosmetics Peptides, Olive oil or Squalane and some plant extract, but are careful not all plant extracts are the same! For example some vitamins B5 (Niacin amide) is a good one as is vitamin C and don't forget the fatty one.

One may be surprised to know that people of the Orient, especially people of Japan are relatively an acne free nation. What could be the reason for this teenage blight not erupting periodically to deface the smooth surface of a Japanese face, back, neck and shoulders? Well, the reason is extremely clear.

When you are choosing skin care cosmetics products, you want to choose those that do not have preservatives such as parabens, chemicals, and alcohols. You want to look for products that are all natural and have no fillers. The ingredients Phytessence Wakame, Nano-Lipobelle H-EQ10 (a form of coenzyme Q10), and Cynergy TK should be present but simply being in the products isn't enough, they should be present in high concentrations to be of any benefit.
