World of Warcraft Upgrades and item upgrader Upgrading

Upgrades can boost the value of weapons, armors and rings. Upgrades also boost bonuses like Crit chance and PvE Damage.

For example, a weapon with the upgrade template that is ending in % will gain an attack damage of 3% each time it upgrades (relative to its previous value).

The cost for upgrading items increases when they reach the item's current level. The cost increases as the level of the item increases.

Components

Upgrade components are items that can be put into weapons, armor, and trinkets in order to provide an additional stat boost or impact while they're being used. They can be acquired through crafting, purchasing from vendors trading, or looting. Certain upgrades come with special cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components are only available to equipment that has a slot. The item must be upgraded to a blue level before the component can be used. In contrast to other mods components can only be used once and cannot be applied repeatedly or replaced by new upgrades. Infusions and enrichments are a special kind of upgrade component used for non-amulet ascended and legendary equipment as well as the non-ascended back items. Infusions and enrichments are recovered by salvaging gear that is ascended or by completing an elite mission in the Prophecies, Factions and Nightfall campaigns.

An upgrade may have a prefix or suffix that alters the name of the equipment with which it is used (for examplefor example "Canthan Armor Insignia is changed to Canthan Armor of Minor Vigor). Certain upgrades boost the Mark Level or Rarity, allowing players create stronger versions of the equipment using less Upgrade Crystals than are required to reach the same level of upgrade through normal methods.

A boost upgrade item can modify the attack or defense characteristics of a weapon or armor. Once the player has completed the cutscene and defeated the Crazed Mechanist, these upgrades can be created at the Portative Forging Station. They can be dropped by enemies when upgrading other gear or purchasing them in the cash shop for 500 upgrade crystals.

Each upgrade increases the chance that a better-quality version of the item will be dropped in the next reset. This gives players a reason to upgrade their gear, even in the event that they don't know how much it will be improved following the reset.

Whether a boost upgrade is successful or not, the process can be costly, and there is a substantial possibility that the item will be obsolete or even break if it fails; a unsuccessful upgrade could ruin the Upgrade Crystals and Assist Powder as well as the upgraded item. Cash shop items can be used to reduce or eliminate the chance of failure. Some upgrades also give a bonus if reinserted.

Glyphs

Glyphs are upgrade parts which can be put in special sockets on the Paragon Board. Glyphs boost the power of nodes within a radius, and include any pre-existing attaches. Glyphs can be upgraded many ways, and we recommend upgrading them to 15 levels as soon as possible.

You will often find in the final game that placing Glyphs is the best method to upgrade your gear. These are the only upgrade components which can be upgraded to level 15 and offer significant boosts to your power on the Paragon Board.

The majority of upgrades in the game can be replaced however Glyphs are the one upgrade component that can be removed and re-placed without any restrictions. Only legendary equipment can be salvaged and re-placed by using a Black Lion Salvage Kit.

Each Glyph has a specific range of values that it can improve a stat by. The value is displayed when you select the Glyph in your inventory. You can replace it with a Glyph with the same rank, or a higher rank, which will increase the overall value of the Glyph.

Glyphs are available in the Black Lion Trading Post as part of an Gem Store bundle or purchase them with certain tools that are unlimited in use, and during Faction Crypt Raids. Every Faction Crypt has the chance of dropping one of the various Glyphs, and there are some rare Glyphs that can be obtained as drops from any of the four Faction Crypts.

When you have the desired Glyphs, you will have to put them on your equipment. Each Glyph unlocks a unique bonus which will boost the stats of a particular set of nodes that are within the radius of the Glyph. Depending on the Glyph, this will either be +40 to one of your primary stats or +25 to two of your secondary stats.

Glyphs will increase the number of nodes connected to them, therefore it is best to place Glyphs in strategic places on the Graph. This will maximize the impact. Druids, for example, should place their Glyphs close to their primary damage nodes. They may be able to place them near their critical damage nodes.

Leveling

The system of upgrading items allows players to improve the performance of certain items by placing upgraded components into them. This is also known as "upping". Every upgradeable item has a level that determines its upgraded stats. Upgraded items may be leveled up to a maximum level of 385. Each item level requires a different amount of components to reach and the cost of upgrading increase as the item is upgraded.

Certain upgrades require a specific ingredient to activate. This ingredient is obtained by finishing Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be bought from NPCs, or on the upgrade tab of the crafting table. Each completed Upgrade Recipe yields several Technology Points. These points can be used to level the item, and once enough are earned, the upgrade will be claimed and the additional bonuses will be added to the item.

When the player upgrades an item to a higher level, the original item is replaced with a different item of the same type. This means that the same piece of armor will be transformed into the form of a shield or weapon when upgraded. The new item will come with a bonus of its own. This could be a drawback, as it can cause the item upgrader to become more expensive if you do not need it.

Upgrades to items can be rerolled, if the player has enough reroll tokens in order to do so. This will cause the item to be traded for a new one, with the level 1 base, and a different set of extra bonuses. This can be beneficial, but shouldn't be done often as it can be a waste of resources.

Certain upgrades can boost their value and allow players to personalize their equipment. A good example of this is Dolphin's Gift, which gives an advantage when a player repeatedly enters and leaves the water (or does not swim as a dolphin). This item can be upgraded many times and increases the maximum roll each time by 10 increments. This item is very valuable in PvP. A well-rolled version can be worth 50 times the value of the non-upgraded counterpart.

Requirements

The ability to upgrade items allows players to upgrade the level of their equippable gear--armor, weapons and trinkets that are above ilvl 385 by providing the appropriate items and currencies to an NPC who upgrades items. Upgrading armor set pieces will also increase the defense base of that piece, while upgrading weapon items will increase the damage base and the strength and dexterity required to meet the upgraded equipment's requirements.

Each item can be upgraded up to five times, except for hero gear, which can have eight upgrades. Each time you upgrade an object, it is at risk of failing. The rate of failure increases as you move beyond the maximum number. Failures will cause the item to revert back to its original state, which will force the user to pay more for materials than they would had they stopped upgrading at the maximum amount of upgrades.

If an item isn't upgraded the experience bar on its growth bar will reset to zero. The item will also lose any bonuses it gained, such as chances to be crit attack damage, other effects (such as increased heal over time or reloading speed). However, the player can still continue to use the weapon or armor after the failure.

Whenever an item is upgraded the upgrades are applied from the lowest to the highest. This means that when a weapon gains an increase in its crit chance it will be applied prior to any increase in attack damage. Slots is a brand new attribute that has been added to the definitions of items. The value is recalculated each time an upgrade occurs.

The amount of resources required to upgrade an item are dependent on its rarity score and the number of upgrade slots. The cost of upgrading non-premium items is the same as the base value of the upgrade--for example, a common equipment item might have 5 upgrades at a cost of 25600 Technology Points 4x Quality Improvement Opportunity. Hero grade items have a lower cost per upgrade.

Premium items might have different upgrade requirements from standard gear. For instance, they may need less sowels, however they may require more minerals and orons. The player will need to take every piece of equipment they wish to upgrade to the NPC [ArmorBoboko. Boboko located in Central Flarine. In addition to the upgrade costs mentioned above, each equipment upgrade requires a different amount of the ingredients for upgrading.
