WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades give you boosts in certain stats. Each upgrade boosts the level of an item by +3. Each upgrade items also boosts an unspecified substat.

Upgraded gear generally sees more value in trade as long as it meets low requirements (like the FB sorc's shield) or a very high stat variance (like Eth titan weapons). The latter are less valuable from upgrading due to the necessity to roll to get a perfect version.

Recycle Points

The item upgrader allows players to upgrade their gear by transferring the currency to an NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any kind of armor or weapon. However, the item used to upgrade will be consumed for the duration of time and cannot be used again. Upgrades can also be used to create enhancements.

You can upgrade your equipment anytime by visiting the upgrader in any major city. It is recommended that you visit the upgrader at least once every few weeks, to keep your equipment up to date.

The cost of upgrading will vary based on the current item level of the item being upgraded, but will always be less expensive than purchasing new equipment from other sources. For instance upgrading a chest piece from Benthic to 385 levels will cost 20 recycle points while buying a similar item from a different player will cost 105.

Upgrades are items that can be used for weapons, armor, tools and accessory upgrades. They can be purchased from item upgrading upgraders NPCs in a variety of currencies. They can also find them in random treasure lists. Once an upgrade items has been purchased, it can be used on any weapon, tool, or armor using the help of The button will display the item's next level of upgrade, when there are enough materials.

The cost of upgrading is based on the item slot and the current item upgrading level, with weapons costing more than bracers or gloves, for example. Each upgrade item costs 15 Flightstones plus a set number of crests. Some upgrades offer a discount on the Flightstones. Once an item has been upgraded to a certain degree and is degraded, it can be sold and sold back to the upgrader for a lower amount of the two currencies.

Utilizing these new currencies isn't too difficult however, the system will introduce a few changes to the overall upgrade process. When a piece of equipment reaches the highest level of upgrade for any rank (Explorer or Adventurer) it will no longer require Flightstones. This change is designed to allow players to upgrade their equipment up to the highest ilvl possible on all their characters instead of relying on seasonal loot.

It's also essential to use crests wisely, as they are only used for one purpose. It is best to use your Whelpling-rank crests on the top-quality equipment you can find, and keep Drake and Wyrm Crests for the next set of upgrades. This is especially applicable to items like rings and trinkets that occupy multiple slots. The discount for the entire account will only be applicable if all the slots on the character are filled with high-quality gear.
