WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades can give you boost in certain statistics. Each upgrade boosts the level of the item by +3. A random additional substat is also increased with each upgrade.

The upgraded gear is usually more useful, unless the item is not required by nature (like FB sorc shields) or has a large variance in stats (like Eth Titan weapons). The latter are less valuable from upgrading due to the requirement to roll for a perfect version.

Recycle Points

The item upgrader enables players to upgrade their gear to a higher item level by providing the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any type of armor or weapon. However, the item used for the upgrade will remain in use for a long time and will not be able to be used again. Upgrades can also be applied to the enchantments.

You can upgrade your equipment anytime by visiting the upgrader in any major city. To keep your gear current it is recommended you visit the upgrader each several weeks.

The cost of upgrading will vary based on the current level of the equipment being upgraded however, they will always be less expensive than purchasing new equipment from other sources. Upgrades like upgrading a Benthic chest to the level of ilvl385 will cost you 20 recycle points. If you purchase a similar item, it will cost you 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are functional items which can be used to upgrade weapons tools, armor, and other items. They can be purchased by players from NPCs of item upgraders for a variety of currencies. They are also available on random treasure lists. Once purchased, an upgrade items can be used on any tool, weapon or armor. The button will show a preview of an item's next upgrade level in the event that there are enough materials.

The cost of upgrades varies based on the item slot and current item level as well as the level of the weapon, which is more than bracers or gloves, for example. Each upgrade cost 15 Flightstones plus a specific number of crests. Some upgrades offer discounts on Flightstones.
