World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading

Upgrades can boost the value of certain numeric stats on armor, weapons and rings. They also increase bonuses, such as crit chance and PvE damage.

If the weapon's upgrade template is %, it will gain 3% of its previous damage for every time it's upgraded.

The cost of upgrading an item increases as it reaches the item level upgrade's current level. The cost increases with the item's level.

Components

Upgrade components are items that can be inserted into armor, weapons and trinkets to give a stat bonus or extra effect when they're used. They can be obtained through crafting, purchasing from vendors or trading with other players or looting. Certain upgrades have unique cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components can only be applied to devices that have slots. The item must be at least upgraded to blue before the component can be applied. Upgrade components, unlike other mods, can only be applied once. They are not able to be replaced or applied several times. Infusions and enrichments are a specific kind of upgrade component used for non-amulet ascended and legendary equipment as well as the items that are not ascending back. Infusions and enrichments can be obtained by salvaging ascended equipment or by completing a mission within the Prophecies, Factions, and Nightfall campaigns.

An upgrade can have a prefix or suffix, modifying the name of the item to the upgrade (for example 'Canthan Armor Insignia" becomes Canthan Armor of Minor Vigor). Certain upgrades boost the Mark Rarity or Level of an item, allowing players to create stronger versions using fewer Upgrade crystals than they require to achieve the same level using standard methods.

A 'boost upgrade' can alter the attack or defense attributes of a weapon or armor. After the player has completed the cutscene and defeated Crazed Mechanist the upgrades can be created at the Portative Forging Station. These upgrades are available for purchase them from the cash shop or by getting them from enemies while upgrading other equipment.

The player can have the maximum of five boost upgrades at a time; each upgrade increases the probability that a higher-tier version of the item will appear in the next reset. This gives the player some incentive to continue upgrading their gear even if they're not sure of the extent to which it will improve following a subsequent reset.

Whether a boost upgrade is successful or not, the process can be expensive, and there is a substantial risk that the item may become obsolete or even break when it fails. A failure to upgrade can destroy Upgrade Crystals and Assist Powder, as well as the upgraded item. This is reduced by the availability of cash shop items that can increase or even eliminate the possibility of failure, and a few upgrades that give the benefit of being reinserted into an item.

Glyphs

Glyphs can be used to upgrade the Paragon Board by placing them in sockets that are specifically designed for. Glyphs can boost the performance of nodes within a radius, and include any existing attaches. Glyphs can be upgraded in many ways, and we suggest getting them up to level 15 whenever you can.

You'll often see in the endgame that placing Glyphs is a great method to upgrade your equipment. They are the only upgrade component that can be upgraded to level 15 and offer significant boosts to your power on the Paragon Board.

Most of the upgrades in the game can be replaced but Glyphs are the only upgrade component that can be removed and re-placed without any restrictions. Only legendary equipment can be salvaged and re-placed by using the aid of a Black Lion Salvage Kit.

Each Glyph has a specific range of values that it can improve a statistic by. The value is displayed when you select the Glyph in your inventory. You can replace it with a Glyph that is of the same or higher rank to increase the value of the Glyph.

Glyphs can be found in the Black Lion Trading Post as part of an Gem Store bundle or purchase, with certain unlimited-use tools as well as during Faction Crypt Raids. Each Faction Crypt has a chance to drop one of the many Glyphs and there are some rare glyphs to be found as drops from any of the four Faction Crypts.

Once you have gotten the desired Glyphs you'll require them to be placed on your gear. Leveling

Every upgradeable item has an amount that determines its final upgraded stats. Upgraded items can be upgraded until they reach a maximum level of 385 ilvl. Each level of item requires various components, and the cost of upgrading increase with each level.

Some upgrades require an ingredient to be activated. This ingredient can be obtained by completing Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be found in the upgrade tab of a crafting table, or purchased from some NPCs. Each Upgrade Recipe that is completed yields a certain number of Technology points. These points can be used for upgrading an item. When enough points have been earned you will be able to claim your upgrade and get its extra bonuses.

When the player improves a piece of equipment, the base item will be replaced with a new item. The same armor will be upgraded to an weapon or shield when upgraded. The new item will have a unique bonus. This could be a disadvantage, as the item can increase in price even if you do not require it.

Upgrades to items can be rerolled, if the player has enough reroll tokens in order to do this. The item will be replaced with a brand new one that is based on a level 1 base and totally different bonuses. This is useful for certain items, however it's not something that should be repeated often, as it can use up a lot of resources.

Some upgrades can increase their value and allow players to modify their gear. Dolphin's Gift is a good example, as it gives an increase in power if the player repeatedly enters or leaves the water. This item can be upgraded many times and increases the maximum roll each time by 10 increments. This item can be very valuable in PvP as an item that is properly rolled it can be worth between 20 and 50x its value if it is not upgraded.

Requirements

The ability to upgrade item (Dermandar.com) items allows players to increase the quality of their equippable gear--armor, weapons and trinkets over ilvl 385 by presenting the appropriate items and currencies to an item upgrader NPC. The upgrade of armor set pieces will also increase the base defense of the piece, whereas upgrading weapon items will increase the base damage and required strength and dexterity to meet the upgraded equipment's requirements.

All items can be upgraded a maximum of five times, except for hero gear which can be upgraded with eight upgrades. Each time you upgrade an object it is at risk of failing. The failure rate increases as you move beyond the maximum number. Failures will cause the item to revert back to its original state, which will force the user to pay more for materials than they would had they stopped upgrading at the maximum number of upgrades.

If an item is not able to upgrade, the amount of accumulated experience in its growth bar is reset to zero. Additionally the item will lose any bonus it earned such as crit chance, attack damage, and all other effects that are associated with that effect (for instance, an increase in heal over time or reload speed). The player can continue to use their weapon or armor after the failure.

When an item is upgraded, the upgrades are applied from the lowest to the highest. This means that when a weapon gains an increase in its crit chance it will be applied before any increase in attack damage. Slots is a brand-new attribute that was added to the definitions of items. The value is recalculated each time an upgrade occurs.

The amount of resources needed to upgrade an item are based on its rarity rating and the number of upgrade slots. The upgrade cost for non-premium items is equal to the base value of the upgrade. For instance, a standard equipment item might have 5 upgrades, each costing 25,600 Technology Points and 4x Quality Improvement Chance--whereas hero grade items will come with a much lower cost for each additional upgrade.

Premium items may require different upgrades than normal equipment. For example, they may need less sowels, but they will require more minerals and orons. The player will still need to bring every piece of gear they want to upgrade to the NPC [Armor] Boboko located in Central Flarine. In addition to the upgrade cost mentioned above, each upgrade will require an individual amount of upgrade ingredients.
